Ideas for the Mod System and Xûr

Seeing how we can expect changes to the mod system, I wanted to bring up how Xûr can be used to expand the mod system itself. Every Week, Xûr offers new exotic armor mods that enhance gameplay that affects either PvE or PvP depending on the mod itself. You get these Exotic Mods by getting a special material called “Strange Components” and you get these components by dismantling Exotic Engrams. This can help counter act the frustration of receiving Exotics so easily and costs some Legendary Shards as well. What exactly do these Exotic Mods do? Well they can do a certain amount of things. For instance a PvE Mod can do the following: - Walking over a Hive Trap doesn’t trigger (Legs) - Spider Web Traps don’t hinder movement (Chest) - Ether Disruptor prevents Captains and Servitors from teleporting (Arc or Void) - Hannibal Rounds over penetrate and staggers High Ranking Cabal and Vehicles (Solar or Universal) - Cabal Infiltration has a higher chance for extra ammo on Precision Kills (Chest or Head) For PvP it is gonna be more of a challenge or it’ll have to be universal to prevent any balance issues - Increased duration and strength of Titan Barrier (Titan Mark) - Dodging has a chance to refill Grenade Energy (Hunter Cloak) - Precision Kills while on a rift have a chance to Spawn Orbs Of Light (Warlock Bond) - Orbs Of Light Also Refill Grenade and Melee Energy if Super is not filled (Chest) - Increased Ammo Capacity for (Kinetic, Energy or Power) Weapon (Chest) We can even take this further to the weapon foundries as well with exclusive mods that you get from Banshee. Foundry Mods can only benefit their respected foundries. And it would be great if Arms-day Returned to D2 Foundry Armor Mods: -Häkke Tactician Increases Handling For all Häkke Weapons (Legs) -Häkke Specialists Increases Reload Speed For all Häkke Weapons (Arms) -Omolon Alchemist allows for Ammo to be put straight into the magazine when holistered (Chest) -SUROS Precision allows Radar to be Active while aiming down with SUROS Weapons (Head) - Veist’s Representative allows all Veist Weapons to have a chance to Generate Gunsmith Telemetry Foundary Weapon Mods: (Acts like attachments that can have different effects) -Häkke Extended Mag Increases Häkke Mag size by 25% (Except Rockets) but slower reload -Omolon Hardlight Rounds Increases range but lowers mobility for Omolon Weapons -SUROS Prime Framing increases hipfire accuracy but lower stability when aiming down sights for SUROS Weapons -Veist Viper Suppressor allows for Higher Stabitity and Accuracy at the cost of Range decrease for Veist Weapons. These are just my ideas at the potential of what the Mod System could be for end game but it’s not to far fetched to something that could work out.
