Open to the vanguard.
On The Front Lines
The City of Khalosh, 11:21 PM
Silence.
The Trayven host, accompanied by both the warriors of the Dojo and the Valkyries, had set up groups for their vanguard in order to meet and cluster upon the front line - they would join in humble groups, shrouded by the deep darkness of night and the foliage that grew over their shadows. In the distance, the first members of the charge would see Khalosh, or.. something of the sort. It's walls had been refurbished, a wooden-and-stone gateway now blocking the one entrance into the city. Surrounding the city and encasing it within it's shell was a deep, light blue fog, whisking throughout the skies and air as the city itself was eerie silent..
The only way to defeat the larger force, without starving them out, was a literal surprise charge and a lot of dead captains and lieutenants on the Tribune's half of the battle.
Then, the siege horn would ring. A deep, booming thing, as those patrols and Tribune archers whom would stand upon the wall walk would suddenly draw their eyes and bows towards the outside of Khalosh. From there - the vanguard would charge out.
The vanguard would be accompanied by a full-on wall of scutum-wielding troops, charging towards the city in a clustered row. A warning horn would breeze throughout Khalosh, bells ringing throughout the city as civilians, soldiers, and mercenaries alike either retreated from the impeding siege, or would head towards it.
The iron doors of Khalosh would creak open only for a moment, as a welcoming party of Tribune troops would storm towards the assaulting vanguard. And yet, behind the vanguard..
For the assault members and vanguard in total.
"FOR THE GOLDEN LION!"
Freya's battlecry would ring across the impeding chaos, as the armies would make their way towards the walls of Khalosh. Those whom would arrive first would have to assist the vanguard and manage to push forwards, for far behind them, a battering ram had begun progress throughout the road of the forest. The idea was to use such a siege as a distraction - and yet, be capable of eliminating the Tribune's efforts as well.
For the assassins.
"...She's a fuсking idiot. Still my sister."
Isabella would murmur, as she had lead those whom wouldn't be attacking throughout a rather.. different area: one of the few recovered tunnel networks that was both kept hidden from the Tribune's scrying eyes, and one that hadn't collapsed after so much time. Such a tunnel was apparently utilized by a mafia boss, according to the information gathered by Natalie, when the first attack upon Khalosh had seemed to be in the works yet kept secret. Isabella would finally bring the assassins up a ladder and into what was an abandoned building. The sounds of charging troops and yells were in the distance, albeit not close to the building.
"Could've used this place, Tribs. Literally gave up on the tunnel and building, oh well." Isabella whispered, as she then turned back to her small group of mercenaries, murderers, and generally untrustworthy people.
"Alright.. captains, lieutenants, commandos, majors - whatever's out there, maybe their damn general is - point is, we need you guys to kill 'em off. These Tribune asshats will scatter afterwards.. they're probably wearing white and gold, so they'll be easy to recognize.
Y'all good, or what? You need a quick bathroom break, now's the time. I'm heading down and joining the assault.. even though that fuсking walk through the tunnel is tiring as hell."

Instead, the rifle shot forward, a round glancing off the concrete as she used the shield then as a weapon, slamming the edge towards the woman, and pulling back finally. She raised the shield, spear held behind her.
-
The edge would slam into the woman's chin, forcing her back as a spurt of blackish blood would escape the new wound. The woman would groan, before she would then move forwards, purposefully closing the distance between the two.
-
Rose threw the shield then, the thing bouncing off a wall, then another, as she then threw a throwing star, which slammed into a wall next to the woman, and exploded in a gravity well, sucking the being with it. Rose flipped her spear to a rifle, firing off shots now.
-
The being's hand would shoot out, grabbing onto the rim of the shield as more blackish blood escaped her, this time leaving her cut palm. She threw the thing into the vortex, seemingly unaffected by the spiraling void of gravity, as she then rushed into the bare cover of a separate alleyway as Rose began to fire yet. Likely a trap, and one that Rose could either walk into or escape.
-
The field ended after a bit, as Rose pulled her shield back as if by magic. Rifle raised, she backed up now, not wanting to keep going. She was already having a break down, and fighting was a distraction, but she had enough bloodshed today. All she wanted was Niki.
-
The shifting reality would change back, soon enough, as the tragic sounds of battle were heard throughout the scene. Rose could hear the Trayvens as they stormed the city, continuing the battle beyond the wall. It was as if they had won. Reporting back to Freya, wherever she was, would be for the best. Isabella too, if she wanted to take that chance.
-
She had too, as she stalked back to the command post of the Trayvens, sheathing her gear for now, a distant look on her face.
-
"I think one's coming our way.. Nope. Just my sister's girlfriend, never met her on my own.." Isabella would murmur to Amanda, as she waved Rose to come over. "Siege is basically over, we demolished them. I thought you and Niki were staying together, though?" There was something in the tall woman's voice, though. An acknowledgement, as if she knew what she was going to hear from Rose's mouth, but wanted to deny it beyond everything.
-
Amanda stood by and watched, not her place to intervene and she knew it. Rose however, gave Isabella a hollow look, doing nothing but confirming what Bella already knew. The girl looked to be ready to cry at the moment, although she seemed too distant.
-
Isabella stood there, silent for some time. Yet even with her now pale, emotionless expression, she stood still, like a looming tower on the verge of utmost destruction. Rose could hear the metal constructs of the woman's gauntlets practically tighten as Isabella clenched her fists, yet kept a deathly quiet demeanor yet. She was pissеd off, to say the very least. "...Let's go. We should give her.. a proper burial." Isabella then ripped up her standstill poleaxe from the earth, looking back at Rose as if awaiting her. She had thought that the girl had been killed, not taken by.. whatever that thing was.
-
Rose glanced up then, realizing the mistake. She spoke in a low tone then. "Isabella... She's not dead." Rose had to force herself to say the words, never imagining having to say anything like them.
-
"...Who took her." Capturing was worse than death. Isabella knew that from the basics of war. And knowing what crazed individuals did with their victims.. "Which one. Which one of those fuсking bаstards so I know which one to eviscerate first? Tell me, gods damnit!" She was practically roaring now, yet Isabella kept her post yet. She motioned for another senior officer to take control of the base camp's orders, now looking at Rose silently.
-
Rose was terrified of Isabella, taking a moment to find her voice now. However she did manage. "I-I don't know. I found a spectral woman, a mage I think, in an alley not too far from here. She said something about Niki being off on her own, I can't remember what she said exactly." It was the truth, Rose only remembered the hostility, and the woman saying not to worry.
-
"...It's.. a start. Okay.. okay." Isabella nodded, as if thinking before she would then meet Rose's gaze. "...We'll fix this. We'll find her. This is something beyond the Tribune, something that they wouldn't initially go through so much trouble trying to do.."
-
"I know that, but I've never seen anything like this before." Rose avoided Isabella's gaze then, not wanting to face the woman.
-
"...You can face me." Isabella spoke up, then sighing. "...It's not your fault. Whatever happened, we'll get it fixed. We'll find her." She rested the poleaxe upon her shoulder, then, seemingly calming down. "Get some rest.. we'll continue in the morning. See if a few mages can help out.."
-
Rose nodded then, Isabella's gaze for a bit longer now as she turned to leave. The girl was miserable, and it showed in how she walked, as she went to her tent.
-
"...I broke, there." Isabella murmured, to Amanda. "I guess we both did, me and Rose. I'm concerned for both of us, but.. Whatever took her. Niki. They'll use her against us if we've cornered them: cornered, desperate wolves are always the most dangerous, the ones that you have to watch."
-
Amanda nodded. "That's too true, and yeah, I noticed it. The girl seemed heartbroken, and I saw you snap as well."
-
"She'd die for Niki, I can see that much. I need to make sure that neither of them end up dead. I'll be up for a bit.. if anything, we're just clearing out the city at this rate. Freya will give a victory speech.. the usual."
-
Amanda nodded then. "I don't have much else to do aside from go over wounded."

Edited by Inflatablepants: 12/3/2017 1:21:46 AMCain would begin to sprint across the field, towards the walls, remembering what he had discussed with his commander. He wore a new helm-less suit of gold armor that had purple cloth hanging from his waist. He would draw his spear, the long ice coloured tool that looked as if he used a dragon as his weapon. He would split off eventually from the vanguard, however, once the chaos was thick enough for him and more men to skip away and flank the tribunes forces. Cain was ready now.
Armor specs are up to you. As long as it’s lighter then it looks and as tough. Cain Is used to fighting in heavy armor so he’s very fast in it still.
-
Alright, the armor doesn't run legit gold because gold is trash - gilded steel plates, though. It's armor that's intended for heavy damage resistance, unless you're slammed by a club.
Cain could hear the clashing of blades and screams of the vanguards of both sides, as men and women alike were cut down in the mob of combatants. Yet the coordinated Trayvens that followed Cain would swirl around him, willing to follow him into the flanking assault.
-
Cain would observe the group, nodding to them as he suddenly bolted to the right. “With me, men!” He would yell as he began to run to the right side of the city. They were still a ways away from the wall, but he kept his eye there to see if anyone would be observing them.
-
Soldiers and warriors alike would follow Cain to the right side, as the battle merely grew worse over a few seconds, blood already spilling the ground alongside the countless bodies of both purple and white uniform. Though Cain would remain hidden (oddly enough), for a time, as the Tribune archers above focused on the main host.
