Might be old news....but I've played both games, watched streams, read some of the lore (better chance at understanding it by watching people dissect the lore on youtube for me) but nevertheless.....it's all over the place and I still don't REALLY know what it's about and it's already reaching the 7th installment of its series.....barely anyone really knows what the hell is going besides that there is a new bad guy and we have to kill it.
I'm a story guy and I like finding out about it, especially since Destiny is rich with a deep backstory, and all I guess all I'm really asking for is an EASIER way to have the lore altogether IN THE GAME...like a CODEX....PLEASE. Instead of reading through vague, short scripts, contradicting plot holes that we saw from D1 to D2.
It just makes sense to have one by now since Destiny has such a mysterious history and it's hard to keep track of it all....or even a codex that tracks our stats (Yes I know we have destiny tracker but is that really thats for pvp only)

Edited by Soul_Eater_42: 12/3/2017 4:50:34 PMIt would be nice if we could actually play parts of the lore, or watch them as cinematics, through Ikora's meditations.

Many have been asking for this since the grimoire cards era, not that they hated the grimoire cards but hate that it is not in the game. Like a small corner somewhere in the tower (like that music player in D1)that you can go a learn a little more about enemies, weapons, planets and so on... But somehow Bungie just misinterpretation the whole idea and take lore grimoires out from the game totally and gave a few scannables items scattered all over the place that doesn't give much detail about deep lore just a voice message type of flavor text or ghost read out more questions that people already have in mind.

<I could tell you...>

Seriously though, why'd the Traveler have to be killed? Where they just out of ideas and decided to end it because they couldn't come up with a story line. I'd love to see something from Bungie covering the time from D1 to present. Going through lore outside of the game company is for the birds. I don't know why something like that can't be made and released.

I just decided to go to the Tower where there's an Animus behind the Gunsmith and down the stairs. Got in, dialed up AC: Origins and have been happy ever since. Let's hope Bungie doesn't find it!!!

I’d like a book chronicling the entire history
