I'm looking through the Bright Engram loot and seeing all the possible gear and items you can get & it dawns on me, why are there mods in there??
You can pay for mods with a currency that has near zero value. You can even pick what type of mod you receive just across the way from Eververse with Banshee the gunsmith. So if he can drop mods just as random as Eververse, or you go through the motions of selecting what type of mod, why have it drop from Eververse? If someone was to indulge in actually paying real world money for Bright Engrams, shouldn't they get loot that would better justify their purchase?
Armor, ornaments, shaders, ghost shells, etc. These are items I understand since they're exclusive to Eververse and you can't get them anywhere else, but mods?
Granted, you do typically get more than just mods when trading in your bright engrams. Engrams that you don't have to pay for. So it's not exclusively paying for mods.
But with the all the other loot the Bright Engrams could drop like, dust, ships, sparrows, transmat effects, do the mods seem out of place?

Blue mods in Eververse is just another subtle way of inching Destiny closer towards pay 2 win. Just think about the boiling frog...
