So after 2 iron banners i didn't manage to acquire a full set on any of my 3 characters, might be just bad luck but i think, overall, there are some flaws in the loot system in my opinion: - Iron banner packages should not yield non iron banner gear/weapons for starters. I can't have to wait a month for some iron banner and then keep getting kerak and errant knight gear from engrams, that's some serious bs. - This whole engrams deal kinda sucks, it might be okay for vendors you deal with regularly, such as the gunsmith or shaxx, but when it comes to occasional events like IB, the system we had in d1 was just fine. - Not sure what bungie's plans for this game's economy are but the first suggestion that comes to mind is to replace this engram system with a "pick one among x items" system, where x could stand for 2 weapons 1 armor or 1 weapons 2 armors (or even 2-2), with the (very) occasional exotic extra reward. Leave engrams to the cryptarch, that's his job. - Legendary Shards. Give us something to spend them on which isn't exotics to farm weapon parts. For instance, planet specific gear sets: id love to have those full sets, but then again the engram system is a real deterrent to farming them: i need the gensym knight helm on my titan, im about to give up cause i opened like 20-25 engrams (after countless ones to get the first four pieces) and still don't have it. Give us the option to spend like 100-200 legendary shards and buy a package that guarantees a piece of armor, so we can avoid tens of useless packages by spending our shards. - Lastly, i dont like the gear sets having fixed mobility/restorative/heavy/survivalist stats. Randomize them. There is so much gear id love to use cause it looks nice but it will mess up my build with that full mobility or resilience i dont need. Let us customize our characters more. Also, adding gear set bonuses bound to the number of pieces we wear (class armor excluded) would be cool. - Exotics, let us work hard for them, I miss dropping an exotic in d1, those epic reactions that ended up on youtube were a blast. They are supposed to be exclusive gear, hard to find and each one of them should be worth using. That's it for now, I'll add more feedback as soon as I get new ideas.
