This is very confusing but I was consistently getting the "currant" error and so I was trying everything I could think of to adjust my network settings to connect. It turns out that since my Windows firewall (Pro, 64bit) keeps turning itself back on, it blocks Destiny 2 even though it is on the allowed list. Does anyone know why:
1) having the .exe allowed is insufficient and/or
2) the firewall would keep turning on?
The game ran flawlessly on launch day and during the free preview.
