Many players, including myself, have found an annoying (or potentially deliberate) bug in the loot chest system. On many of the planets, players receive no loot from numerous chests for seemingly no particular reason. I personally cannot explain accurately how this happens, but I have noticed some significant patterns after farming Titan by myself and with clan-mates. = Quick looting of chests and resource nodes (between 3-15 seconds apart) are followed by a few minutes of receiving no items (including glimmer) from said chests and nodes (deemed "No-Loot" bug) = Other chests, like those received from scavenging party's, high-value targets, Public events (Normal and Heroic), and Lost Sectors, will always drop there appropriate amount of loot (as observed by me and my clan-mates) even while the "No-Loot" bug is active. = After completing and opening one of the above mentioned chests, ensuing loot chests and nodes may begin to drop loot correctly again. = When the "No-Loot" bug is first encountered (after opening a chest or node that doesn't give you loot), waiting a few minutes (2-5) appears to correct the issue until it appears again. = Moving to a new Landing Zone on the same planet does NOT resolve the issue immediately. = Patrols do NOT affect this bug, and are NOT affected by it. (this means both can be done at the same time) = This is NOT a visual error, you do NOT get items if you open a chest while the bug is active. = The bug does not seem to be consistent, it begins randomly, and at times ends randomly. (which has led me to believe it may be a deliberate mechanic of the game) While this is not a long list, it is only based on in-game observations. if you have anything to add to this post that may be of assistance, such as personal observations, theory's, explanations (with evidence), etc. feel free to share and like this post. If you hate this game or have any kind of vendetta against it, please, do not put your half-a**ed arguments on why this game sucks, or your random s**t-posts in THIS post. Also; if a Bungie employee does see this post, whether it have been the first or last of its kind, please let us know if this is a deliberate mechanic or if this is indeed a bug.
