The Mentor of light is a new LEGENDARY emblem that tracks the "Number of campaign Missions or crucible matches completed with a trial player in your fireteam"
The Emblem is not on the database so i can not include a photo... But never fear! The emblem is already in your collection of you want to see what it looks like (it looks sick!) however you can it take it. To unlock this emblem you have to Guide a trial player to unlock. I loved emblems in destiny (I got them all) and i loved the mystery of them. I don't know what this emblem could be for... Leave your guesses below
My guess: as you all know bungie is doing A double XP weekend starting tomorrow so my working theory is that bungie will release the game for free for this weekend also. These players will be called trial players.
I am very excited for a new "refer-a-friend" type quest if this is the case because i did the "refer-a-friend" quest in destiny 1 by myself... With 2 accounts

Edited by Navi: 11/16/2017 11:32:26 PMHere's an image of it in game, we can assume a trial copy of the game will be releasing soon but as for it having any relations to the double xp weekend I'm not so sure. The double xp will only work if you are playing with members of your clan if I'm not mistaken. Maybe the trial edition of the game will release tomorrow but since Bungie never mentioned it in the TWAB I'm not so sure.

Once they figure out how to get it... hit me up. Im an emblem collector myself.

I highly doubt they would do a free trial weekend and not announce it beforehand. It's possible, but incredibly likely. Would love to introduce a kinder-guardian to Destiny 2 and guide them through the Galaxy ;). It does state "Number of Campaign Missions or Crucible Matches Completed..." and there is no way to replay a mission unless you do meditations, but what is a "Trial Player"? More that I think about it, it does appear to be a fee trial type thing. What other use of "Trial Player" is there? (Except Trials of the Nine or Osiris, but that doesn't make any sense.) Guess we'll have to wait and see...
