They had 1000+ people working on the game plus 3+ years to do it. It wasn't one guy in his basement that did it.
But to shut up the op check out warframe a team of less thanks 100 people made that game and it's 100000000000x better and better handled than destiny.

OMG warframe shills!

Should go play Warframe then. Personally, I checked it out. Hated how it felt like I was sliding everywhere and uninstalled it.

Edited by Jinn: 11/16/2017 3:55:42 PMBungie has 730+ employees (Not all are devs, designers, etc. and I'm talkin' bout them). They had 2 years to work on Destiny 2 - regular deadline development. And really? Warframe?
-
What about Guerilla Games then? They only have around 270 staff (a third of Bungie's staff), in the last five years or so they have not only developed two games, the latter of which (HZD) is stunning, they have also developed an industry leading game engine. Or EA DICE? A similar number of staff to Bungie, over the last five years or so, they have developed BF4, Battlefront I, & II Battlefield 1, and an industry leading game engine.

Yes bungie might have but they brought in other studios to help with the development. And right after d1 release they got into making the second one. But yes warframe is made and developed by a tiny studio with probly way less funds than bungie and thought the marking might not be as rich as destiny the game / game mechanics and systems are waaay more flushed out.

Again, wrong facts mate. Stop making things up. They did not bring in other studios to help with the development. Activision are the publishers, they just funded them and bunded them to plans they had to stick on. And no the development didn't start right after the release of D1, it was 1 year later.
