No, seriously. It's dog shit.
Whichever team spawn in the possession of A flag wins. Who designs a map where you can control two out of three capture points from one spot on the map, and then gives it to one team at the start of the map?
It's garbage.
-
Just make a statement and quit Respite Control every time you get it. If enough people start doing it maybe Bungo will change it.
-
It's not the only thing with idiotic balance issues like this. It would take one play test to notice something like this. Crucible as a whole is moronically designed.
-
True-very unbalanced as it can almost determine the outcome of the match. What actually annoys me the most-is ppl pushing to cap C. Please stop that-we don't want to spawn at C.
-
Spawn on C... Everyone hard flank left or right. Win first engagement to A. Cap A, Flip spawn. I agree, it's sucks but it can be done.
-
they should move B just inside the doors
-
Ummmm. Remember Pantheon from D1 at all?
-
You know how when Bungie does something and you get that feeling at the bottom of your stomach and wonder why in the actual hell anyone would think that was a good idea?
-
Pretty much. It's even better when you do have A spawn and you have a rando that pushes C and switches spawn. But yeah, they need to switch the flag points. It's broken.
-
Typical bungle
-
Hell yeh, it’s ridiculous. If your a half decent team and spawn at A it’s no problem to lockdown A and B and never move. It’s mental to give a team the win off a spawn point. Here’s hoping it gets fixed.
-
I hate this map so much lol
-
Unplayable. You win by 50 or lose by 50. 4 narrow hallways to get out of C, where one player with a scout rifle can cover two of them at once. Worst map in the game by a wide margin.
-
So true. People have told bungie, but they’ve done nothing so far.
-
Simple remove control on this map.
-
Actually I've spawned on A and had the opposite team, all randoms, completely rush us the second they loaded in. They went directly for A, then sandwiched us at B. Long story short: We lost horribly.
-
Edited by CopicX: 11/15/2017 11:04:59 AMYou can really tell the people who havent played D1. As they never go for B and always flip spawns. I have to follow those idiots otherwise 4 people on the other team spawn behind me.....
-
Its not as simple as who spawns at A, but who can hold B with out letting people get past to A. During Iron Banner the Trials guys from my clan showed me that you send a sneaky SOB to A and then when the team attacks him the others flank murder the attackers and you capture A and B then play Gandalf the rest of the match screaming "YOU SHALL NOT PASS!". We didn't loss a single match during Iron Banner but that was the hardest matches when spawning at C.
-
are you on PC ? just wait til IB....
-
Yeah not balanced at all. I've had some success with splitting the team to go tunnel and heavy side for the flank.
-
Edited by CaptMark: 11/15/2017 3:32:52 PM"Oh no they are capping A! Let's cap B" Runs to recap B "Oh no they are capping C" Runs again to recap C. "Oh no they are....." Oh screw this, leaves for orbit. I ain't chasing no darn zones any more! Lol
-
Most maps have this situation, but few are as pronounced and difficult to overcome as that one. Overall I think the maps are designed better for general Crucible play, but Bungie has always seemed to struggle with spawn and control point placement for some reason.
-
When coming from A, if they moved B to right lane that would fix it.
-
I agree a and b points are priority to win. Have to learn to flank with a good team to switch spawns and capture. No other real strategy
-
Not true, you simply don't know how to play it.
-
I leave any control match that's on that map, even if I happen to spawn at A. It's either too easy or too difficult, thus no fun.
-
I've said it countless times now but if people would just stop fighting over the gap to B then you will win. Flip A by flanking, I do agree though it's quite unbalanced.
