destinytruthcast Episode 61: A World of Art Online / An Online World Too Real

This week we got to sit down with Destiny Community Artist's Alisia Rose and Clinton Felker to talk art, streaming and Destiny. One thing we have always done with the DTC is try to make the experience as comfortable and natural as possible for our guests, most of whom have never been on a podcast (an many never listened to themselves recorded). To this end we try to keep the episodes laid back and create an atmosphere like friends just talking in game chat.  We have an idea of things we want to touch on and we know the episodes will start with the guests telling the community about themselves and end with some favorite moments playing. But the in-between is all off the cuff and natural flow of conversations. This allows for topics to develop and for the experience to be very organic. This week we had some incredible conversations about Alisia and Clinton's art and how they create it as well as talk about the upcoming expansion and thoughts on the upcoming streams; but the conversation also led to the issue of harassment and how difficult it can be for female gamers/streamers in an online world where unwanted advances/abuse are unfortunately and wrongly seen as just normal internet culture that can't/won't change. As always we appreciate you talking the time to listen and weigh in and support the guests we have on and if you'd like to join us to talk Destiny in the future please reach out to us and let us know. • When it comes down to it, punks who look for self actualization will always target someone for any reason to consider them inferior. Letting it be known how much superior they pretend like they are. Putting down the other gender has been since the first years of humanity. There is no such thing as a female gamer, we are all gamers, we are a community and we should cherish what we love. I respect redwing as a community leader and the women of the destiny community as regular members of the community, because they are a part of us.
