First let me explain a little about what I've been doing these last three and a bit years. When Destiny first launched, I started playing with my brother, a few friends and a few randoms we met on our journeys in the first few weeks! I had already formed a clan with a couple of randomers through meeting in Destiny Beta. Due to the Alliteration in all our PSNs, I came up with the idea of "Alliterate Soldiers" [AlSo] as the clan name, set it up and slowly over those first few weeks we had just enough people to get online with, and to do the raid with. Over time we grew, our work lives changed, I had a newborn to help look after! And we found the companion app limiting on it's capabilities for its chat features. We used an app called KiK for a while, until eventually I started getting the hang of recruiting properly. We moved onto groupme once we hit our 50 member cap, which KiK was only capable of supporting per chat room, and the members started rolling in thick and fast. By Oryx DLC we hit 120 members, with two seperate Alliterate Soldier clans, but still using the one clan chat on groupme. This gave me an idea! So I set about creating a clan for XB1, XB360 and PS3 to form an alliance, meaning we could have a gaming community that encumbered all. Even setting up under 18 clans for the seperate console manufactures too. With these six clans, I had formed the start of Army of Prose [AoP] in November 2015. Since then [b]we've had a Unite The Clans mentioning from Bungie[/b], which filled our ranks to over 1000 clan members! Though numbers dwindled significantly since then, it taught me a lot. And that was how to deal with such large numbers of players in only several slots. We're now only dealing with PS4 and XB1 on groupme, having two clans on Discord for PC users! [b]We have Alliance Chats[/b] so that [b]members from all our allied clans can mingle, form or join raid teams[/b] to run every week, or just on the fly. [b]A Trials Of Osiris chat for those that want to find others who love to play PvP.[/b] All the clans have their own [b]seperate chat rooms, with their own rules,[/b] and the major Alliance Chats divided into 15+ PS4 and 15+ XB1! We currently have 10 clans, with an 11th being set up this weekend for XB1 users.
