For no discernable reason?
If you do, please share.
I made this thread to rant, so I'll chuck it in a spoiler if ya wanna read it
So I show up for work today, walk up to the guy who's shift is before mine and go to relieve him. He turns around and says that our manager I'm 'this' close to getting a written warning for doing something slightly different to how it's supposed to be done (which was incidentally taught to me by someone else when I was new) and that I've been warned about it before. I haven't, and now I'm pissed that people are too afraid to talk to me about the shit I'm doing wrong. If you don't like something, have some balls and say it to me. -blam!-. Stupid fat little bitch walking around hating me for no reason.
I'm off track. Ok. And then I get into the break room and see the little cows written it up on the board for everyone to see. She's not even the real manager. She's a supervisor when no one else is here. -blam!- I hate her
I feel better now

Nope. I'm a master of turning up, doing my job and basically being an advice-giver. I suppose being the holder of many workplace secrets and admissions means people are largely loathe to piss me off. 😆
-
Sometimes it's not you at all. Some people are just mean and unhappy. They take it out on others. I've seen it a lot at the workplace.
-
Hi I love you
-
Yup. I never understand it either. Tbh I really go out of my way to not step on any one's toes and sometimes people still find a reason to treat me a certain way but when there's an actual person who's an ass they won't say a single thing to them. That really grinds my gears
-
Yes. Mostly managers.
-
Sounds like a territorial thing... She is asserting her dominance... Men do it too, that's why the men's room smells so bad...

Its called the real world

There used to be this girl that worked days (I work nights, day staff have always looked down their noses at night staff anyway) but she was one of those typical people that would be like "I say everything how it is" but in reality, was very two faced and slagged people off behind their backs but anyway.. When I used to give the handover, if something wasn't done or one of the people we looked after wasn't awake I would always explain why but yet she used to run back to our house manager (who was also her mum) and grass me up for EVERYTHING, leaving out all the legit reasons why and I was constantly being pulled up on things. Things that this girl could of just said to me if she wasn't happy. The funny thing was she was a keyworker for one of our clients so we followed the rules she put in place for that particular person but things would change and we wasn't told so when I brought it up with the line manager, she and her mum were the ones that ended up getting In trouble and not me but this went on for about a year. Just petty complaints that didn't effect her job in anyway but caused a headache for me. I was only ever nice to this girl and could never understand why she was always gunning for me!

I don't suppose school counts as work? I'll just shorten it: bullies. Well, mostly just one really guy.
-
Don't know but I've worked with plenty of people that I hate.
-
I held an unpopular opinion about my classmate's lord and savior Professor _____ and held other unpopular opinions about how other certain classes were taught, now they hail me as the antichrist. "omg y tf r u paying 4 scool if ur just gonna complaned!???!"
-
Not work, but in School... if you knew me you were on one side of the coin, or another. You hated me, or you didn't. There didn't seem to be an in-between, just extremes of either side.... thankfully not too extreme.
-
Probably, but then again, I have a tendency to get confrontational with folks who give me shit out in the real world, so they probably keep it to themselves. Shit like that is why I am a trucker. I am alone behind the wheel & I can bitch about shitty drivers without them hearing me or me hearing them bitch about me, lol.
-
Everyone hates me for no discernible reason
-
Some people just aren't meant to get along. There's always going to be something or someone you hate for no reason. There's one guy at my work that I just dont have any patience for, he's never done or said anything wrong to me but his voice and personality annoy me. Maybe I'm the wrong one for feeling like that but you can't help the way you feel.
-
"Stick it to da man..." And if he ain't present... you'll do nicely.
-
I work with this guy named Adam. I swear, if you meet him, you’ll want to blow your brains out.
-
I’m an equal opportunity hater.... Now get off my lawn!

Edited by albinomachina: 11/11/2017 2:23:06 AMI have to work with a couple of lazy, incompetent millenials who are literally incapable of doing anything that requires more effort than using a smart phone and I hate them. Does that count? edit - from my experience if someone you work with hates you, it's because you suck at your job and you make their's harder. Welcome to the real world.

When I was in college I was a janitor at one of the buildings on campus. My shift was from 5am-8am on weekdays. So as you can expect, people were pretty tired when they got there. But me, I grew up on a farm waking up at 5 every morning, so it was nothing new. During work I was with another guy for our part of the job, but you would still encounter other people. Whenever I did I'd always say "Hey ... how are you?" Most of the time I'd get something like "good" or "tired but it's ok." But one day a few months after working there this girl snapped on me. I asked how she was and she stopped and yelled at me "Stop asking people that. We are all tired, you're the only one who isn't. All you do is annoy the rest of us who don't wanna be bothered." Later that day her best friend who also worked there said she just kinda didn't like me, so it made sense as to why she yelled.

People don't hate me.
-
No but I assume most people don't like me.
I'm quite weird.
Man up and talk to your manager about it. Ive always been straight up with employees ive managed and told them to be honest with me and could come to talk to me about anything.
