I've been with Bungie and Destiny for too long to give up hope, I've been there through the hard times and the good time (that's right, time, cause there was only one, Age of Triumph, best time of Destiny) .
Before anyone says that it's people like me, who's fault it is that D2 is like this, can you honestly say Destiny 1 didn't get better with time? Can you honestly say they didn't make improvements with their content? Can you honestly say you preferred D1 year 1 to D1 year 3, or hell even Year 2?
-
I don't know man. It would take quite a bit for D2 to be as exciting as D1, for me.
-
Anyone that is a gamer should still have hope for this game.. Why would you want it to fail is what i dont get.. If you truely Appreciate gaming then you should be able to see this game can hold great potential, Bungie seem to be just plain lazy with alot of things in D2, maybe not lazy just soaking up as much money as they can and doing things the cheapest way for max profit..
-
At this point I’m just waiting for DLCs to slowly improve the game (which sucks to do)
-
I agree with your you, sort of. There are a couple problems with your hope. About half of the people with talent have quit working at Bungie. And it shows in the worlds worst game sequel. And that brings us to your second problem. D1 was a much better starting point for making a good game later. D2 is horrible in every single way except gunplay. I expect that it will improve over time, because it impossible for it to get worse. But the question is, will those improvements turn D2 into a good game? Or will they only make it better than it is now (which isn’t saying much)?
-
Ehh. D1 got better with time through dlc cost as a consumer. Bungie had a damm good game in D1 ROI dlc and somehow came up with D2 which is very mundane compared to last update of D1. I did not buy D2 my bro shared it with me on xb1 and i did not buy future dlcs. Getting better with time at my expense is BS. D2 should have been way better at launch. Hard to have hope.
-
I preferred year two to year three. Personally. Not sure why
-
Why wouldn't we? It's a great game! Loving every aspect of it :)
-
They quite literally have to recode the entire game. Get rid of all the crap and put back in the good stuff and expand on that good stuff. Even the simplest of things they for whatever reason left out, and the most obvious little nuances. There is no hope.
-
as an example, the division has turned out to be a Great game, but they had to change so much even if you bring up the division, people dont believe that it could possibly be any good.
-
I am still having fun playing D2. So I feel that it can only get better. I honestly feel bad for the people that can not just enjoy the game. Their loss
-
Maybe Destiny 3 will be better? Probably not

Downvoted :/

Edited by BlessTheMic863: 11/8/2017 10:07:15 PMWhy do we have to wait for Bungie to make their games better after they launch the game? Why can’t Bungie release a game that’s better than the predecessor? Why can’t Bungie release a game that’s complete and fun at launch? This is the second straight game we are waiting on Bungie to make their game better. Really?!? You do realize people are going to have to pay Bungie money to play the game after the DLC drops which includes these improvements or get left behind and stuck with a crap game? There is no defense for Bungie and Activision. They dumbed down D1 and we got D2 because they made the game for the lowest common denominator. Bungie said screw the D1 fans let’s make a game to bring back the people that left during D1 and all the people that liked D1 will just have to like it and plus we’re Bungie of course they’ll like what we produce. Aaannnnndddd it’s backfiring. Yah they made good money from initial sales and preordered DLC. Do you honestly think D3 will outsell D2? Or how about will D2 DLCs 3+4 out sell D2 DLCs 1+2?
-
Relax. It is only a beta. There will be tons of loots. Bungie needs tons of time and tons of money to make Destiny great again. Please contribute anyhow you can and you will thank bungie in 2 er..maybe 3 years time. D3 will be hyped and around the corner. Relax...it is just a...stfu. Ops...
-
Ah, yes. Let's give Bungie more money so they can dissapoint again and again and again. "Destiny 2 was pretty poor, but I'll give them a chance with the DLC to make things right. "The first DLC wasn't that great, but I'll give them one more chance with the second expansion. If that doesn't make the game better, I'm out "The second DLC is trash but I paid all this money, might as well keep playing to make it worth it. "Oh, there's a third expansion coming? I wonder if maybe Bungie will finally listen?"

I can honestly say that I preferred ROI to AoT in terms of Crucible, where I spent most of my time. You people are the reason we get two primaries and a choice of one secondary or one heavy in D2 now. -blam!- you. This shit ain't fun. -blam!- you.
-
I don't think enough will change fast enough to keep the disenchanted from leaving. The problems many have are with core systems- it won't be a matter of just moving some sliders and patching the game.
-
Yes I can D1 was better and to say that give it time look at the game its self D2 has not even got nothing like D1 they should have put ghost back in for the hunt and a lot more stuff on everyone has the Exact same gun and same gear trust me game is ruff I can say my part in it because in my clan it was some of D1 top players and most kills in game I hope they really come with a gr8 strong game with the dlc coming up the D2 game was made very cheap not even half of what D1 had in there first year so go with that in how hard they thought this one out I haven’t played for three weeks now hope they come out with something gr8 like I said thx for reading and have a gr8 1
-
The love for this game's lore is the only thing keeping the hope alive, but I do have hope.
-
No! I had so much up in August but came September, bungie showed us they are incompetent.
-
Um no the train is off the tracks. They knew what needed to be done in d2 and failed miserably. I have lost all faith in their team and ability.

Edited by Nineball2112: 11/8/2017 1:14:33 PM
Can you honestly say Destiny 1 didn't get better with time? Can you honestly say they didn't make improvements with their content? Can you honestly say you preferred D1 year 1 to D1 year 3, or hell even Year 2?
That's EXACTLY the point. It did get better in some ways (and worse in some ways). There is no, zero, nada, zilch excuse for why D2 is in the sorry state that it is. It 100% should have built off of where D1, Y3 was and it wasn't and it was done that way on purpose. Let that sink in. They deliberately removed all of the QOL systems, mechanics, etc. so that they could sell it back to us in the form of DLC. Bungie deserves all the crap being slung their way.
Can you honestly say you preferred D1 year 1 to D1 year 3, or hell even Year 2?
Hell yes, I can. D1, Y1 was before all of the senseless weapon nerfs and before they gimped the special ammo.

Somethings on d1 were better, I miss mayhem, sparrow horns, gun loadouts (sniper and shotgun should be energy weapons) non consumable shaders, (I just don't like deleting 100 shaders manually) The fact that all races of aliens were "new" on d1. I think d2 should have introduced a new race at launch. But d2 has things I like, the ability to pull yourself up on a ledge, I have gotten used to energy weapon slot and played d1 the other day a kinda decided i like d2 no less than d1 on that point. Crucible red bar immortals seem to be dealt with imo in 4x4. But I totally agree with hardcores the schematic is getting boring. They should reward victory with more tokens. I like the ttk on d2, I know others dont. I like using various weapons in crucible, not just meta, d1 it was for me quite a bit harder. I just stuck with Suros Regime and called it a wrap. I bought dlc package so I am gonna play it like I have d2, I expect greatness but realize that it will be what Bungie has designed, let the SALT fly....
-
I have the last hope. Does that count?
-
D2 will get better after 2 dlcs. The stupid thing is that they took fun game modes away. Let's not compare content because. It's not fair for D2. Let's compare the game modes year 3 D1 had vs D2. D2 is a much more shallow game. D1 vanilla had more content than D2. The exotics were better no static rolls. You had more options for subclass. There was the element of mystery that D2 doesn't. It had one of the best raids in Destiny with the best raid weapons and armor.

-blam!- Bungie and especially Luke Smith!!!!
