Anyone have any suggestions for settings for an elite controller on XB1 for crucible?
I've got the high sticks on, default stick behavior per the app, right trigger set to only depress half-way through the toggle on the controller itself. I'm using the back paddles for jump and crouch only, and I took the other paddles off. In-game button configuration is green thumb (former halo player), and sensitivity is set to 7 (max I am comfortable with).
My issues are the sticks' minuscule dead zones, which I can't seem to do anything about, and overaiming in PVP when I'm trying to track a moving guardian (PVE is fine). I haven't had any positive experience with changing the stick settings to smooth, aggressive, etc., but maybe I'm missing something.
What works for you and why? Are there any XB1 apps you like better than the one that came with the elite controller? It would be nice to bind a paddle to super, but that sort of programmability seems to be beyond the default app's capabilities.

Hey look I know this is late but I found a really good setup that makes it feel a little more like Call of Duty: I run the default sticks with Instant curves on both and I also set both to the maximum setting of 5. I also use the Radial Calculation just to make sure there is no slowdown when diagonally turning. If it ends up feeling too fast you can turn down the curve setting but on 5 it helped me due to minimizing the aim acceleration to a large degree. Oh also I should note that I play on a 3 sensitivity so you might have to adjust if it feels weird on a higher or lower sensitivity.

I don't mess with the sticks, but with the hair triggers I have the dead zone set to 5-20. It fixes the problems with charge weapons in games.

I cant play destiny without my elite pad now haha, i use smooth on LS aggressive on the RS, two paddles left for sprint and right for jump and use a tall stick on the RS, best thing for me is to have sprint on one of my paddles, no more bashing LS to run

I set the sticks to smooth. I use high stick on left and low stick on right. Use two paddles on back set for right and left click stick. Great set up for R6 Siege.

Edited by Swirved503: 11/8/2017 5:36:10 AMI purchased a halo set off elite add ons that have I think stock height domed stick that I run on the left. Really helps make it more comfortable since your constantly using it. I use click right stick for crouch and a paddle on the back for jump. Only have to remove fingers from important buttons to reload or switch weapons.

I use the preset "smooth" setting for right stick and "aggressive" setting for left stick. This helps tracking stay smooth on moving targets, and helps me strafe in gunfights more easily. I hope those were the right names for the presets, I haven't looked at my setup in a while. Hope this helps at least somewhat!
