I Shall never be very merry or very sad, for I am more prone to analyze than to feel. ~ H.P. Lovecraft
Name: Cognivermis (Cog for short)
Race: Great Old One though similar to Hastur, uses Avatars to walk among men.
Gear: several balls of maggots along with maggots in general.
Abilities:
Can gift knowledge through the consumption of his maggots though in many cases the knowledge can lead to insanity.
Astral projection
Invade dreams in attempts to convince others to worship him
Capable of exuding toxic clouds from its body
Telekenisis
Carnivorous maggot bombs
Bio: He is the Knowledge Worm, he is Cognivermis. The Great Old One who seeks infinite knowledge and has all under its microscope of oh so many eyes. A strange god who interacts with others through its avatars yielding intentions unknown and perhaps too alien for mankind to truly understand. To this, he offers knowledge to others though at the risk of others knowing far more than they ever wished to know. Cognivermis is not hostile though only seems to help if there is something in it for him such as forbidden knowledge or things not known to him. He is a curious god after all.
Extras: His primary inspirations are the lovecraft gods known as Yog-sothoth and Hastur, hence his "infinite knowledge" and use of avatars to communicate through. His name is a mix of the Latin words for knowledge and worm.
And yeah, he's not exactly a pretty sight...
