It is an insult to the original team of talented and ambitious artists and developers that created the halo series.
It hurts me to see the bungie name insulted so much on these forums, because this is not bungie anymore. Back in 2010 Activision just came in and completely destroyed everything bungie stood for. Don't even try to deny it, why do you think most of the developers quit to make ******* indie games? Because thats how much they actually are fed up with the bullshit of these big publishers!
Everything from the lowbrow unimaginative story to things like tokens and loot/xp cooldowns (with a lot in between) shows that noone there actually REALLY cares about this game.
Please let us not disrespect the real bungie's legacy and from now on call this Bungievision or just simply Activision, because thats what it is.

This post is actually hilarious because Bungie haven't changed in 15+ years.

I hate to point this out, but bungie is bungie. This isn't a different bungie, they wasn't bought out by another company, nor did another company buy the rights to rename their company Bungie.. Sure Bungie has gone through the typical employee turnover like every single company in existence. However it doesn't make Bungie any less Bungie. Just with every company, you may like a product they make, but it doesn't mean you will like every product they make, or will ever make.

Funny... Halo one, half the story as the sequel. Halo two, same npcs to shoot, same maps. Introduced playing two characters. Halo 3 more of the same. Halo 4, less of a campaign, introduces one new type of enemy. On and on.... So yeah, it’s bungie

The Bunge. Sounds more low-tier. "Oh great....it's The Bunge." "Ever since The Bunge -blam!-ed things up.............". I'm going with The Bunge.

OMG guys! I have figured it out. I'm thinking, Bungie has lost it. I can't believe they put this garbage out. I read several articles online about how Activision, and the 10 year contract, requires Bungie to put something out on tight deadlines. Good, bad, or ugly, something must be released. They even threaten Bungie and employees in losing stock options if they are late. Then it hit me. PRINCE! The name change was an irritation tactic. Prince never came out and said he was trying to anger Warner Bros. music division with the name change. But he hinted as much many times, and the fact that he returned to using the name Prince in 2000 — after he'd been released from his contract — suggests that this was the reason for the name change all along. Bungie is sabotaging themselves in hopes of getting out of the contract! It is the only logical explanation. No company would willingly release a product at this sub-par level unless intentionally. Now it makes sense!

Can we call them bungo?
-
While we are at it let’s stop calling this destiny 2 and start calling it what it truly is, Shitstiny 0.9.
-
Ya all halos were amazing and the best games in their time when Bungie made them. So much to do, complete and innovate games. Then came activision and the dlc/microtransaction era....
-
Some people call them "Bungo"
-
How about Bungle? I've been using that for awhile now, not originally mine, but somehow it fits.
-
Bungie spent a long time banking on their reputation from Halo only to find out reputation doesn't mean shit when you lose half your employees who made the organization a whole. As cheesy as it sounds companies are like bodies: they are made up of lots of people/cells and when you lose the ones who do the best work the body dies. Modern bungie seems to be full of Millennials who never really played anything fun other than halo as it was their first game and are under the thumb of my generation (gen x) who apparently never played fun games when they were kids.

Bunch of pirates using the name to profit off past glories of others.
-
Bungo or Bungivision, either works
-
I call them BUNGLE. On account of them bungling constantly.
-
Bungie agreed to a partnership with activision. Whether you like it or not this is bunghole.

343i>Bungie

Been playing Bungie games since Marathon and Halo; Bungie died its final death when they fired Marty for fighting against what they were becoming.
-
Wait thr original team was talented? All bungie always did since day 1 was remaking stuff adding a few changes to the graphics and s new story to tell (kind of) also the same happens again to destiny. Dont get why people are so angry.

Bungivision
-
It reminds me of the shipbuilder's paradox, as I believe it is called. Imagine Bungie as a ship, with all of its employees being the pieces of wood that make up the ship. Over time, the pieces are replaced one by one, until eventually none of the original wood is on the ship. Is it still, then, the original ship?

Edited by Bung1eIsSoLame: 11/6/2017 7:32:08 AMUm, you are aware that Bungie owns the IP and has said on multiple occasions that they have final say on all content? So who's fault is it again?
-
-blam!- the originals who paved the way for activision to ass ram the company.
-
this is bungivision
-
Acrivision doesn't directly work on the game, they're just the publisher. Sure, the deadlines they place could hurt the game by making it rushed, but it's Bungie that made the game and is in control.
-
Who calls Bungle "Bungie"? I mean, Bungo is acceptable, but c'mon. Who's calling them Bungie anymore?
-
It's purely Activision, has anyone played cod ww2? Those severs are the worse severs I played on since destiny 1. Both cod and destiny have garbage severs. Activision is the worse, these ppl spend millions on voice acting. Who -blam!-ing cares about that? Stop with host migration and get dedicated servers like halo 5. Halo 5, and DOOM are easily the best FPS to drop on current gen consoles.
