It's partially truth. I purposely avoided doing that because I thought it was ludicrous that the most rewarding farm was a boring solo method and not some thing like the raid or nightfall. So when they said that, I actually agreed. It's not a lie because a tiny fraction of the population doesn't benefit from a loot cave like experience. I also feel like it's still not rewarding enough and cutting down public events is lame.
