Yes guardians were able to farm lost sectors for tokens - the exploit favored solo runs because you could keep all the tokens for yourself instead of sharing with your fireteam Did solo players or fire teams ask bungie to change this? No Did bungie take away your incentive to run lost sectors solo to farm faction tokens? Yes Can you still loot lost sectors for tokens? Yes, you're just not going to get the 12 tokens (or whatever the amount was) per run Key difference is you and your fire team will equally share the tokens Is this a change the community asked for? No. But it was an exploit that de emphasized fire teams and bungie made a change to improve the experience - did they sprinkle some sugar on it? Loads, lol! Basically all exploits will eventually be fixed- it Is what it is

What exploit? I saw no exploit whatsoever. If I run a Lost Sector solo it's just fair that I get the full amount of rewards, tokens included. And why is Bungie so against players playing solo? Do we now have to be all friends of each others? Did we return to the 70's hippie philosophy? That reason Bungie gave is just a BIG PILE OF BS! They want to force us to play the Lost Sectors the way they want? Not gonna happen. In the next Faction Rallies I'll just pledge to all 3 factions, go play the other games I've been playing and return at the end to to see if the one that won has anything that interests me.

  • I'll try my best to explain: Solo player runs into lost sector, destroys all enemies supplies (collects tokens), runs out to entrance, and runs back in (rinse and repeat) until you have as many faction tokens as you want Keep in mind you could only get 30 faction packages during the rally You can also call it a cheese too So, yeah it doesn't appear bungie intended for lost sectors to be played this way during faction rally - I wasn't surprised by change, these cheeses were typical removed in destiny 1 too

Fair enough, I would call it a cheese myself. However there's some Lost Sectors that can be farmed almost the same way because they can be done by just rushing through most of the enemies, kill the major and grab the tokens. it takes more time but is doable. Also they nerfed the amount of faction tokens rewarded by Public Events. I don't remember any cheesable way to farm PE's. On the other hand they greatly buffed fation tokens rewards in Nightfall and Strikes. Are they trying to force people to play in a fireteam? If so it's a dumb move.

  • Oh yeah, they're definitely trying to get us to run more strikes n nightfalls - again these are similar strategies they used in destiny 1 I don't look at it a forcing me to play with fire teams- my perspective is getting me to try something new - currently I don't run strikes (I did all the time in destiny 1) It's also a way to artificially slow down how fast we turn in packages for factions - which will probably Irk more players
