I don't think anyone past level 265 wants to run lost sectors at all. I don't think most people even care about the faction rally now that we all know it's just more low level gear. Anything we do get will need to be infused and have mods added, so why bother? Guaranteed everything in the factions can be found with the same stats or better elsewhere. I mean, is a faction auto going to be better than Uriel's? Is a faction scout going to be better than Nameless Midnight? Sidearm better than Last Hope? Hand cannon better than Better Devil's? Yeah, I didn't think so. Last time I really liked the Pleiades Corrector, but Seven Six Five is just as good,really...and once I discovered Uriel's I keep it equipped full time with Nameless Midnight as my ranged gun.

  • While Destiny 2 is a great game, there was a real lack of effort put into several aspects of this game that really have disappointed some players. Bungie needs to remember what set Destiny apart from Call of Duty. The grind. The special loot. The RPG aspects of the game. They lose that and there's less reason to play Destiny over Call of Duty. Put in some real creativity into the special armor sets. Make them look stunning and be something people want to grind for. This was done by the end of D1 but completely forgotten for D2 at this point. Very disappointing. Lost sectors were a great idea with bad execution. I have my own ideas but that's not what this post is about. Just another missed opportunity in D2. So are the side missions. They're so lame I can't even remember what they're called. I think the Public Events were the best change compared to those in D1. Maybe work on putting players together better. There are so many times where I'm the only one playing in a PE. No way I'm the only player in the world playing that right now. The raid....sigh. Just screwed up. The mechanics, fine. Once people learned them it wasn't so bad. The raid gear design is fine, not epic but very nice looking. No raid perks. No ornaments. No reason to do prestige mode except to just have done it and an emblem. Sigh. Did the people making this game actually play Destiny much? How could this have shipped?

"Maybe work on putting players together" this for sure! I think Bungie was onto something when they had us take the city back with other Guardians. That was epic and the best part of that mission. Would really like to see more of it.

  • Unfortunately, at this point I think the only people who aren't disappointed are the people who don't realize Destiny us a franchise that is meant to be played constantly(they just think of it as another "play the story, max your character, done." game like Dead Space,Resident Evil, etc) and the people who only have three or four hours a week to play, so they haven't reached the hole in the endgame. Then there are a few ultrafans who are just going to play pvp for whatever reason(although after a few hours of rotating modes I can't see how they don't move on), but those are extremely few in number. It's funny, the console players fade away more every day, but the PC release had the effect of creating an artificial bump in playership just as it was at the point where Bungie needed to change the game or die. Now, Bungie gets a few more weeks grace period. Then the next DLC drops. At that point playership will rise again for a month or so, at which point Bungie can claim success for their new business model. In other words, I don't see an end to this token system or shallow loot pool any time soon.

  • yeah faction rally is pointless once you make max light level. who cares about having another set of worthless armor that you will never use.

  • I do like Uriels but have been increasingly playing with Sweet business. It’s great once you get used to pre firing

  • The Number is better than Uriel's Gift in pve, and just as good in pvp. And I prefer the FWC hand cannon to Better Devils. My BD sits in my inventory unused. That's what happens when you jump to conclusions about weapons without trying them.

  • I've tried them all. I just don't agree with your opinion. Think I don't see you all around the forums defending Bungie no matter what? You don't have an opinion unless Bungie pre-approves it.

  • Eye roll. The people I wreck in the Crucible with The Number think otherwise. The stability perk is far more useful than HCRs in a weapon that is already automatic.

  • Uriels has steady rounds or hcr. I like the Number as well. Give the Jiangshi (spell check?) a try. It's great if you hip fire a lot.

I have no plan logging back in for this event. It’s sad really but I might be done with destiny as a whole.

  • Public Events are just better in every aspect than Lost Sectors and Strikes. Reward the same stuff and get a higher chance when doing it heroic. They need to increase Strike rewards and add strike exclusive rewards to give incentive.

  • Strike excusive rewards and strike bounties with medals, etc like in ROI but easily available in a book format inside your menu like those AOT style books from late D1. They really fixed a lot of replayability issues with the strike scoring system, crucible weekly bounties, etc. I really expected to see those at the launch of D2. The challenge system is just obscure and silly, and you get nothing for completing them. The random weekly strike/crucible bounties were a great idea that they should have continued. Of course, without random rolls all that stuff would eventually fail anyway. I recently went through the D2 armory on Destiny Tracker, and I had about 95% of the weapons armory within the first month...and as we all know, Uriel's and The Number, etc. All drop with the same roll every time. And,btw..regardless of what the "KellyGreen" says, The Number has exactly the same optimal ttk(1.07) as Uriel's. It's the same gun without high caliber,so in effect it's actually less effective in pvp because the enemy can shoot back more accurately.

  • 100% agree but i'd still do em if i could just run through and break a few items for half hour or so for a couple packages (thats all the effort that should have to be put forth for such lackluster rewards) but yeah, no way I'm botherin to clear out a useless sector...again. I'm at 305 on 1 char and 303 on the other 2 so its not about the loot for me, my main thing is their need to make this stupid ass excuse up for changing it.
