Just reading the update news and noticed this... "We noticed that players felt Lost Sectors were useful, but disliked the fact that they couldn’t enjoy them with a fireteam, so we moved the faction tokens from the destructible items to the chest at the end of the activity. The destructibles will still be featured as a daily milestone and are still available to help your fireteam clear out the Lost Sector."

This is a sad ass lie period. They didn't like the fact that during the last faction rally, people simply destroyed the items for tokens and farmed to the max number of packages without having to mind numbingly complete the useless sectors every time.
If they wanna make this change to try and keep people playing longer, that's what should be said, not this sad ass lie about wanting to do sectors with a fireteam. Like whose ass did they even pull that out of. Not even a good lie for christs sake. smh. I'm sure I'm like many people who wont even bother to touch this faction crap after the first one anyway but damn Bungie, grow some -blam!-ing balls and tell the truth...

Edited by SackOfWine: 11/3/2017 4:58:18 PMWe all should be used to this by now to be honest. They completely miss the entire point of what we tried to get across to them. All they had to do was allow us to break destructible items and reward the whole fireteam and that would have solved it. Somehow they interpreted that as we want to prolong the farm for the reskinned rewards so make us do the whole sector for less rewards please. No thank you I'll be skipping this crap event, nice try bungie may have fallen for the purchase but not participating in your lies.

Yes guardians were able to farm lost sectors for tokens - the exploit favored solo runs because you could keep all the tokens for yourself instead of sharing with your fireteam Did solo players or fire teams ask bungie to change this? No Did bungie take away your incentive to run lost sectors solo to farm faction tokens? Yes Can you still loot lost sectors for tokens? Yes, you're just not going to get the 12 tokens (or whatever the amount was) per run Key difference is you and your fire team will equally share the tokens Is this a change the community asked for? No. But it was an exploit that de emphasized fire teams and bungie made a change to improve the experience - did they sprinkle some sugar on it? Loads, lol! Basically all exploits will eventually be fixed- it Is what it is
-
Huh, most of my fireteam just log on at least once a week in D2 just for the Raid. At least nothing that would influence Faction Rally were added to Eververse, this time.
-
Truth is not in their vocabulary
-
When is the next faction rally?
-
I kinda like the lost sectors. I don’t do them anymore much because their reward is what...a token...same as any random chest. That’s why I don’t do a lot anymore; why waste ammo on a ransack servitor for the same thing as a chest for free? Rewards don’t scale.

Edited by Cam_Elric: 11/3/2017 11:22:21 PMThere were a few posts and more than a few comments on Faction Rally threads asking why only one in the fireteam got tokens in lost sectors, suggestions to improve of which this is one, albeit the least rewarding one to each individual overall.

While I agree with you that they should incorporate these events in a much better way, Bungie wasn't lying. If you were in a fireteam only the person that destroys the resource received the token. They figured they could kill two birds with one stone and stop the "loot cave" while giving whole fireteams the reward for the LS. I'm upset that instead of coming up with a better solution for the event, they simply stopped us from farming while also making public events less profitable. Bungie's answer to extending game time is to make the grind harder. They are starting to realize that making the game easier meant that people will blow through all the content and then have nothing to do, dropping the player base. Let's hope that they learn quicker this time (waiting until year 3 in D1 for the complete experience was excruciating) and tweak things on a more consistant basis.

Id like to see the numbers for this next event. Another nail devs , u seriously have no -blam!-in idea what you’re player base wants .

This, by now though most people can read between the lines and see when they spew BS. The leadership must have huge egos or the Activision handlers really have them on a leash. I want to spend time in the world they create but so many of the choices they make just blow my mind. I was on D1 quite a lot chasing those perfect gear rolls and that's what drove me to play. D2 on the other hand? I hardly touch that game at all anymore. Thankfully I have a lot of time on my hands to play (disabled) so I go through content like it's nothing. The game is so catered to casuals, it's pretty clear that the company just wants to make as much cash as possible. This is what they end up churning out when it's all about profit, a watered down product that looks and plays good but has no substance. They are so cheeky with their responses and those of us that can tell will keep calling them out on it. Do they have talented people? Of course they do, nobody's saying otherwise. It's just so obvious that the company is only after one thing... and if people say that that's what companies are supposed to do then those people are completely missing the point. This hobby is quickly going down the drain little by little. Sure gaming is being profitable... but not for the right reasons. Nintendo is still hanging on to that old school feeling but we can all see beginning of the "Profit above all else" dance. I wonder how gaming will look like in another 10 years.

well cosmo is a lie

I missed that bit, I'm not grinding lost sectors for tokens they are boring. What's this sh1t about a fireteam?, they are so easy to do but reward nothing of worth, useless part of the game. They must have watched the countless farm tokens videos on YouTube and decided to lie about changing it, pointless exercise. Factions will get far fewer tokens this time around.
-
Kinda disappointed as well but i could see it coming. I don’t think anyone talked about this or anyone made a video on this. But if you still have the Mida quest, you could go to the part where you have to complete a lost sector. Now, you could destroy all three of the supply drops, then do the sector, however, if you die, you spawn where the chest is. And the supply things respawn. So, you could get three tokens quickly, kill you self by exploding the last one, and repeat. It was quick and there were no enemies on your way.
-
Bungie have lied about things since D1 launched tbh. Pretty pathetic but that's them.
-
...and they also put high cal round on almost all new faction weapons so they can watch us playing their stupid milestones. The real problem is here https://youtu.be/90RMYlWBe2Y P2P to save money and to lose players, idiotic!
-
You know that the idea was to make every lost sector capable of giving 9 tokens right? When playing with a fire team you get 3 PER PERSON so a full fireteam will get 9 tokens each, kinda soloing out the solo players however.
-
Yknow? My jimmies are pretty rustled now that I know I've been cucked from Bungie.
-
sounds like typical Bungie reasoning to me... performing as intended.
-
You're obviously correct.
-
I will say that is pretty lul. clearly it's a major lie on their part. they could atleast be honest and be like "we changed it cause we noticed alot of people exploiting the lost sectors"
-
I don't see what the big deal is. They're just worthless tokens in a worthless game.
-
Yeah this game sucks
-
You should have been used to it by now. They have a way with bending the narrative.
-
What's the big deal, again?
-
Edited by fromunda73: 11/3/2017 8:49:01 PMI have a question...where is Luke Smith the director of the game.?? Why is he hiding.. Oh wait he's rolling in his 1.6 billion. Bungie got what they wanted..$$$$ bills yo!!
-
Im still dumbfounded that people bought this game.
