I'm not usually very critical of Bungie, but this is a pathetic lie.

Just reading the update news and noticed this... [b] "We noticed that players felt Lost Sectors were useful, but disliked the fact that they couldn’t enjoy them with a fireteam, so we moved the faction tokens from the destructible items to the chest at the end of the activity. The destructibles will still be featured as a daily milestone and are still available to help your fireteam clear out the Lost Sector." [/b] This is a sad ass lie period. They didn't like the fact that during the last faction rally, people simply destroyed the items for tokens and farmed to the max number of packages without having to mind numbingly complete the useless sectors every time. If they wanna make this change to try and keep people playing longer, that's what should be said, not this sad ass lie about wanting to do sectors with a fireteam. Like whose ass did they even pull that out of. Not even a good lie for christs sake. smh. I'm sure I'm like many people who wont even bother to touch this faction crap after the first one anyway but damn Bungie, grow some -blam!-ing balls and tell the truth...

    • I agree. Shifted to content can be soloed and shorter to longer group content. Its sad, i really enjoyed that event last time was looking forward to it.

    • Really that was my main complaint. I wanted to do them with some friends but there was simply no point. It would've made running through them a bit faster and more endjoyable. Instead we just grinded public events like everyone else, because unfortunately they are the only activity worth a damn.

    • Is it?? I distinctly remember farming one fireteam member at a time. And one puny elite to unlock the chest. We always cleared the boss since we were already there. How can you not just accept that this is an improvement? Charge in, Super the boss and leave to reset. It accomplishes the same exact thing except it’ll probably go faster with friends. Your post might as well translate to “I’m a drama queen by default, because backlash is trending.” So silly, trying to turn an improvement into a conspiracy.

        • I know ,thy focus on stuff people don’t care about .. Bungie focus on random god rolls on weapons and gear focus on new subclasses, focus on having more than one ability for subclasses ,focus on that shit !?!?!😳😳 it’s like thy focus on putting cheese on a hamburger that doesn’t have meat

        • I love that this is the thing that set you off. After everything, it was the lost sector faction tokens. Ps. I'm not drinking Haterade, I think it's funny. We all have our breaking point.

          Well since everyone is being stupid and opposing OP here, let us think. If you [i]could[/i] have farmed the lost sectors last faction rally WITH a fireteam, do you think Bungie would have left it as is? No, of course not. Not being able to do it as a fireteam was a convenient occurrence for them to pin their nerf-reason on. The real, and obvious reason for the change was that it was farmable. How do we know this? Because they nerfed public event token outage. Just like the community asks for every time they nerf; "don't nerf A just buff B and C!" They could have just buffed strikes and crucible dropage to public event levels, but no. Same old lame approach to artificially lengthening the game.

          What is funny about is that you could always clear out a Lost Sector with a fireteam. The problem was that players could not FARM that one Lost Sector while on a fireteam because the exploit would not produce the expected results. Basically, Bungie fixed a known exploit and now people are furious because they have to actually grind a bit. I personally, don’t care much about the change.

        • When I first tried farming with someone else before I realised it was only the person who shot the crate, it was two us doing it and to be honest running up and down stairs and corridors with the other person holding you up or getting in each others way was a pain in the arse and we ended up doing our own lost sector anyway. I'm not too bothered I will still do it on my own and just pick a sector with the least amount of enemies and go for the boss with a sword. Mind you I just probably won't bother doing it anyway.

          • It's partially truth. I purposely avoided doing that because I thought it was ludicrous that the most rewarding farm was a boring solo method and not some thing like the raid or nightfall. So when they said that, I actually agreed. It's not a lie because a tiny fraction of the population doesn't benefit from a loot cave like experience. I also feel like it's still not rewarding enough and cutting down public events is lame.

            • There is some truth to it. People like playing with friends. To do the farm effectively it meant doing it solo. But yeah. It was also changed because it was the best way to get said tokens. Personally i'm glad they were moved to strikes. We need more reasons to do those.

              • Not a lie at all, only the person in your fireteam who shot the explosive got a token so your FT kinda battled it out for tokens...this way everyone in the fireteam gets rewarded...I hate D2 vs D1 but this is just a troll post...

                • I don't even get what the big deal is. Yes, you can farm the Tokens by entering and leaving an LS, but you would need to spend an entire day to get enough Tokens to hit the max rank. I know this because that's how I got to max rank on my Hunter for New Monarchy. Just leave the destructible supplies in the game along with all the other Token changes. Speaking of rank, when are you gonna let us see our rank with each faction Bungie?

                  • yes but it's an improvement, you've got to be trolling. before, only one person in the fireteam got tokens from shooting the destructibles. this change is great, everyone gets tokens from the boss chest at the end. there anything wrong with that?? jesus christ.. I can see this community hasn't changed in the slightest since D1. still a bunch of whiny children making a fuss about nothing.

                    • Thats what care about now is only about money so I'm about good content or making the best game I don't like destiny I don't think they play their own game because if they do they will see all their mistakes we shouldn't have to tell them what's wrong with the game all the time do they even know their fan base all these changes they may we never really asked for and the things we did ask for them to change is like we actually one thing and then they destroy five things

The fact they are defending the game in the first place is enough to know that there’s no way you can convince them. Even if they know they are wrong, they will never accept it.                       • Remember they're in the business of selling a video game in fact not a video game per se but rather a game service. And in general sales are predicated on never telling the truth if your product is less than spectacular. So they have to tell a lie and say that they're doing it for us the players but the truth is their numbers are dwindling and it's sad. At any given point I'll have 28+ friends online all of whom played Destiny 2 but anymore there's just two or three playing sometimes as many as 7 but I haven't seen double digits in 2 weeks. Yeah when Activision had their lovely Financial or earnings report whatever the hell it's called... they were talking about all this good stuff about Destiny but they didn't talk about sales figures and they didn't talk about current daily player count. And why was that? Well because they can lie to us, they already have our money, but you can't lie to the investors... but you can sure as hell put lipstick on a pig.

                        First lie: Lost Sectors always were doable in a fireteam. It never was about doing them in general. Second lie: No one ever said that Lost Sectors are useful. People just exploited the crate respawn when you re-enter the Lost Sector afap. No one wanted to do this tedious grind in a fireteam, especially not outside of the faction rally. Third lie: They just wanted to remove this exploit to prevent people from getting 600tokens in under an hour. That‘s all there is to this change. Pathetic liars, nothing more.

                        • Seriously how many times do we have to point out that Bungie is using Skinnerbox tactics to artificially prolong the lifespan of this IP? It's tragic and deplorable. Comparatively, check out the recent patch notes for Diablo 3; https://us.battle.net/d3/en/blog/21115840/patch-261-now-live-10-24-2017 Concise, detailed changes some even with notes from the Devs (something Blizzard does quite a bit especially with Overwatch) and even if you don't play D3, hopefully you can appreciate the gist of that link. That is, a dev team committed to expanding player options, not restricting them at every turn. That's the real sin of Destiny, it's advertised as some awesome sandbox shooter where everyone can be a special snowflake when it reality, it's a stale, controlled environment that adheres to Bungie's strict, authoritarian vision. PvP's no different - oh sure, you have the illusion of choice, but I've never seen a PvP game where you're so forcibly incentivized to play to the meta. D2's just another in a long string of over-hyped AAA's that failed to deliver. And I don't say all this because I hate the franchise, just the opposite. I can't help but wonder how differently Destiny would be had they partnered with EA instead of Activision.

                          • Not bringing any weapons forward is the biggest lie they have told.After seeing old exotics being brought back for the next dlc is the time I decided that I’m done with this game.Got the legendary edition so have to play the next two dlc’s,then that’s me out of here
