Destiny 2 crashing randomly, 'Problem reading game content', 'Data verification failed for package...'

BattleTag: CasulHoss#1408 Configuration Info CPU: Intel i7-7700HQ @ 2.80GHz GPU: Radeon Pro 555 2048MB RAM: 16GB GPU Driver Version: 17.1.1 Operating System: Windows 10 DxDiag: https://www.dropbox.com/s/v9e50577afzqe1b/DxDiag.txt?dl=0 Issue Information Destination/Activity: Multiple destinations/multiple activities Description: The game will be running fine for a few minutes, then randomly crashes. The battle.net app will then trigger the 'Problem reading game content' dialogue box and prompt me to 'scan and repair'. Each time, the scan and repair process completes without discovering any issues. This has been happening since the latest hotfix. The Crash_info file for each crash gives me the following halt information: data verification failed for package {{w64_environments_01a2_0.pkg offset 425641984 }} For each crash however, there is a different package for which the data verification failed. There also does not seem to be a pattern regarding when these crashes happen, as well as during what activity in-game. I have tried a few fixes suggested in this thread, such as setting the battle.net exe and destiny2 exe to 'run as administrator', I have deleted the cvars file, I have completely uninstalled and re-installed both the battle.net app and the destiny 2 game itself, all of which seem to have no effect on the crashes. Prior to the latest hotfix, I was able to run the game just fine for long periods of time without running into any performance issues, and had not experienced any crashes whatsoever. Bungie, I am loving this game. However, this issue has caused the game to be unplayable. Please let me know if you need any more information. Thank you.

  • Must be nice to have a business like Bungie where you can take $100 from your customer, deliver a product that crashes constantly from the moment it was released and do absolutely nothing to fix it. I thought stealing was against the law? Bungie found a way to legally steal money with no punishment. This error has caused my game to crash every 10 minutes since launch on PC. Bungie couldn't care any less. NEVER EVER buy anything from this company again. and for that matter Blizzard as well since they are happy to link arms with the Bungie thieves.
