I bought the game on PC release last Tuesday and have been enjoying myself, for the most part. My Titan is sitting around 285 power/light. So far, I personally don't like any of the helmets for the Titan, except the Io Gensym Knight Helmet. I've been farming since last Wednesday, for AT LEAST 3 hours a day, and have probably reached over 100 engrams from Ashur, and have still yet to receive the helmet. The helmet's power is going to drop lower than my current gear, of that I'm completely aware, but I want it for cosmetic reasons only. The amount of RNG in this game is almost sickening.
It's also absolutely ludicrous that you guys have put in a cap for farming. You are literally punishing people for playing your game. I could probably have close to doubled my tokens if this "system" wasn't in place. So not only am I having to rely on RNGesus (in literally every aspect of your game) but I now have to farm longer because of this pointless cap. Here's some easy steps to relieve my saltiness and help everyone for the better:
1.) Allow us to trade in a specific amount of tokens for specific gear (namely for me, the Io Titan Helmet)
- It currently takes 20 tokens to rank up Ashur and I'm assuming most other vendors. Maybe make specific items 40 tokens so we can buy what we want, but still have the option to get random engrams.
2.) Get rid of this inane cap on token farming. Besides having to rely on RNG for literally everything in this game, this is the worst aspect of Destiny 2.
Please take these ideas in consideration. Thanks.

It's either this complaint or the other version of it where people say there is nothing to do. I turned in over 250 tokens for a specific Sidearm and then got a second from an engram drop minutes later. Welcome to Destiny. Enjoy your stay.

Edited by TheTommieC: 11/3/2017 2:31:47 PMJust missing the Io chest piece for my Hunter. Not only for cosmetic, but the entire set has the most recovery. 👍 Have the full Titan set for my Titan. Have the full Io set on my Warlock. Have the full EDZ set for my Hunter. 👍

Edited by Sprouted Quinoa: 11/2/2017 7:15:47 AMI just want to know which designers were responsible for making ugly crap and dumb weapons, like "Ok, Steve, we've got 2-3 really good weapons from each archetype, now I need some garbage. Give me something dumb like rocks, like a single shot grenade launcher with zen moment or something. And some hideously ugly armor that we'll reskin a bunch of time instead of reskinning the good looking armor." "I know, make an exotic single shot grenade launcher that goes in the energy slot, but nerf the crap out if it. Seriously, I want it to shoot water balloons or something. And make it reload itself if you almost kill something with it, but not if you actually kill something with it. That'd be too EASY."

D1 was worse on every level. The vendor rng in D2 is similar but not near as bad. You would've trashed D1 if D2 is a problem for you in this area.

Destiny 2 is garbage. I mean, it honestly feels more like what should've been a free to play, free download knockoff of Destiny 1, made by some independent developer and maintained entirely on a simple microtransaction system.

You know most players are saying it's too easy to get things. So the rng will never be better. I grinded 6 months in d1 for a chest piece. And that's not even the worst story I've heard. So ya, no one here is going to feel bad for you

D1 is handing exoticts left and right , not sure what you would say after farming the "mandatory" ghorn with a bit less rng luck
-
What's the farming cap? Blues and materials stop dropping from chests, but you still get tokens.
-
You think D2 relies on RNG too much? You can't be serious?

I have two of the Gensym Knight Helms on my Titan. Both of them were received from power engrams over a period of approximately two weeks.
