It's been a week, I'm loving the game.
But I can't play for longer than 30 minutes without the frame times just dying. I'll maintain a good 60-70fps but it eventually just feels like ~20 fps at best. The only way to fix it is to restart.
Is Bungie going to fix this? Not sure why they chose to patch the SSE3 issue before this, I actually meet the requirements.

You do realize this takes more than just a 'oh there is the problem!' :fixes it: Right?! This takes finding the problem, resolving the problem, testing the patch, after testing the patch, making sure it doesn't break something out, mass testing the patch with multiple system specs, and THEN finally releasing the patch. As comparison to the SSE3 removal, that literally was simply changing a very SMALL piece of code and allowing players who now are coming in here because they are getting poor performance using older value CPU's that shouldn't be supported in the first place.

Its a memory leak that it fills up memory till a point your pc starts lagging due to having no free memory... While i expierence the lag aswell after a 1-6 hours of play, I still run @ 100fps + while memory /cpu /gpu usage all is at very accaptable levels. While it feels like a memory leak (high fps while lagging ) , my memory says otherwise.

They removed the SS3 CPU instruction requirement to allow more people to play the game, even though most CPU's without it natively fall below minimum spec. More of a marketing decision than a technical one.

They'll probably say they fixed it in the upcoming $30 DLC, and to get the patch you must purchase it. Then it'll probably break again in a different way a few days later.

I am running on a laptop with only 8GB of ram. Ive noticed it goes up to roughly 80-85% ram utilization, but Itll drop. So I guess I am not experiencing the menory leaks as many claim they are. Wonder if certain ram manufacturers modules are effected(hynix, samsung, etc)

I am very surprised that they did not try to fix the problem much earlier, have people even managed to play the raid today? It is a major issue in the game right now and they have pushed hotfixes that makes more people being able to play, but not fixing the real game issue here.
-
No they will not. They will keep saying they're looking into it and then release "patches" and Hot fixes" that really do nothing. After 3 years you will be told to buy Destiny 3.

Edited by DamZe: 11/1/2017 2:12:34 PMSome kind of patch is planned for tomorrow, and aimed at solving this very problem. We shall see if it fixes anything...

I am loving this game, but the issues on PC so far have been unacceptable. I originally thought it was a memory leak for me, but I found that leaving my clan for the most part has improved my performance much more. If you go look at your clan page in game, you may notice that the game is constantly trying to load your roster, but won't. For some reason that really effects the performance. I really hope these issues are fixed. I want to join a clan so I can get the benefits, and have a group of people to do content with, but so far that hasn't been much of an option for me. And these performance issues have been an issue since PC launch! I expected a fix so much sooner.

Edited by GhostlyKage: 11/1/2017 6:22:43 AMI'm right with you guys. It almost seems to me that the more graphic/cpu intensive the game gets, the more likely the massive FPS drops are to happen. And when they do happen, they stay like that forever. Restarting my computer sometimes fixes it, but not always. It's a shame, because when the frames are smooth, as in 70+, it looks and feels absolutely amazing. I have: Ryzen 1600, 16 GB RAM, Nvidia 1080 TI. Edit: My issue isn't clan-related. I've yet to join one, and my frames drop just like everyone else.
