Anyone know some decent ways for punching past the 265 wall?
Header says most of it. I usually play Destiny as a pair and we're hitting that soft wall at 265. Aside from MIDA MINI at 274 and I JUUST got some solar gloves after hours of grinding that hit 271, does anyone know some more solid ways to get past that gate and push on up towards the 300 mark? Our next target is the Nightfall of course but that's also a bit tricky and we're still having clanmates push past the 200ish zone. I was wondering if there's a few personal ways to break the soft barrier here from a couple people in the know. Thank you in advance for your advice.

1 ReplyYou'll want to use a legendary mod on any piece of armor/gun you use. Your milestones grant the best possible Light drops. Making characters that are all different Classes also works tremendously, gives you more to do, and all drops are based on items you have both equipped or stored on all other characters and vault. New added feature so ya dont have to use crap weapons just because of light level. Lastly you want exotic drops as they normally exceed your current light level when decrypted. Buying fireteam medallions from Everest and stacking x2 through 2 members(cap) while farming Public Events proves the fastest for Exotic engram drops. Hope this helps.

Though that is just a guess. If you can get one character to 280 you can then use that character to turn your inventory of blue mods into a handful of legendary mods which can be quite helpful. In my case after i hit 280 i almost immediately made a huge leap to 290 thanks to the mods. Other than that you just hit the grind and hope for the best because there is still some unpredictable stuff that might happen. i was getting 283 level blue armor from public events even though i was only somewhere around 274.

Do your weeklies on all 3 characters. Potential weapon rewards are not tied to specific classes, so those gains will apply to all 3 of your characters as you can freely transfer your weapons through the vault. Apart from weeklies, farming public events/strikes/crucible for exotics is your only hope.

1 ReplyDo all your miles stones and have on your highest posible gear before opening the milestone rewards. Also don't accept the reward if it's not higher than your light level wait 30 min and it will increase.
