Fireteam Chat not working (XB1)

I am playing Destiny 2 on my Xbox One and I’m using an Astro A50 headset (3rd gen). When I try to use the in-game fireteam chat I can hear others but not no one can hear me (the speaker icon on my emblem doesn’t change either). Party chat works fine. It seems D2 can’t see my mic, possibly due to it being a USB mic (something relatively new to Xbox One). A quick search of reddit has shown other people with this headset having the same issue. I have tried all of the settings in D2, I’ve checked my audio and privacy settings on my Xbox and everything seems good there. I even went into my router, set my Xbox to a static IP and manually setup port forwarding for all Xbox Live and destiny 2 ports. I know some people will ask why not just use party chat, but myself and others in my clan would like to try and help people with guided games and it won’t let you start unless you are capable of being in in-game voice chat.
