I ask because of aim assist. I wonder if you were to play to try and only win would you use a mouse and keyboard or Aim assist with a controller? I wondered this do to playing some PvP today and afterwards, my friend got lazy and laid down and used a controller and said how easy it was and the aim assist was crazy.
I wonder if the better overall aim of a mouse or the aim assist would be better or does it even matter? That said there is a way to get aim assist with a mouse but I dislike it and feel that Bungie doesn't as well.
Edit: Why does it not matter or why pick a controller or mouse?

Edited by Hagalaz-27: 10/26/2017 7:17:43 PMI use a controller because my left hand is pretty wrecked. It seems to work ok, but I'm sure the twitch gamers can outshoot me with a keyboard and mouse. Doesn't bother me that much, especially since I only do quick match for PvP, not the "competitive" playlist. Edit: I started our playing all the classics with a keyboard and mouse: Doom, Wolfenstein, Marathon, Halo, etc... Might have to get one of those ambidextrous joysticks and configure it to do as much of the left-hand stuff as I can. Hmmm.

I have no clue why you would ever use a controller on pc. Mouse and keyboard are far superior.

Well, I have to say that the controller is viable now with the aim assist. But I still say with a lot of passion that if you're skilled, nothing will beat the speed and accuracy of a KB+Mouse, especially if you're crazy enough to play an FPS on a high DPI or something and 180 trick shot fools in the face on the turn of a dime. So I'm personally sticking with KB+Mouse and no aim assist, but I have a small theory that players using controllers may feel like they have more focus to dedicate to dodging and reacting rather than getting tunnel vision with aiming and damage. That's my input! Comes down to preferance, but I think KB\M combo has better potential.
