What I said in that post is still true today. None of the 3rd party overlays or performance tools like Discord, Xsplit, OBS, RTSS, etc. will cause a player to be banned, you can read more about that here. If you are trying to attach cheat tools, debuggers, or manipulate games files, those are things that can result in a ban.

So I'd have to shut down steam and NVidia. Would Eset's overlay count?
-
You can leave both steam and nvidia on just turn off any overlay features to be safe. I'm not sure what Eset's is so I would say turn off it's overlays too.
-
It's an anti virus software.
-
Don’t worry cozmo. Nobody was giving this knuckleheads story any weight.
-
He gives a reply and you dipshits still arent happy. LOL...smh. All this cryin like babies for "answers"...theres your answer AGAIN. It says you ran some shit we told you not to...get -blam!-ed! What do you brain dead simpletons not comprehend?
-
Then why was I banned used none of those things
-
Probably because those bans are not caused by those programs, as Cozmo just said.
-
With manually investigated bans and the numbers only sitting at 400...you still sticking with that?
-
You only replied to this post because you got called out. GG.
-
He replied to the OPs aforementioned post without being called out in the first place. He's just backing up what he said after being called out by someone in the wrong.
-
Fight him irl then.
-
Forum winner today! Lol!
-
-
I do not envy you. These people man...I couldn't do it.
-
I love how this gets a response, but the post above it that is asking for a response of some kind pertaining to the massive fan backlash over Destiny 2 gets nothing lol
-
let's not act like Cozmo doesn't have a boss. these guys can't just reply to every topic without it being cleared by whoever is in charge. Cozmo / Deej is the mouth piece. they're hand information and they relay that information to us.
-
I agree but given the state of things it would be better to not respond to posts like this if they aren’t going to respond to the other.
-
Because they have made countless replies already and even a live stream.
-
OP is spreading misinformation. I doubt very much that anyone cares what he personally thinks about them.
-
Why won't you answer on other posts
-
Cozmo why is that you only answer a post when is getting personal sir? Why not these other post of "Please bungie give us answers! I Beg you!" type. ?
-
Shut up Meg. How does it feel to work for a company that shits on their fans?
-
-
Something tells me you're not telling the truth. Where are the cold facts? XxX was banned because.... ?

I find it hard to believe this many people have been banned within 24 hours when it takes other developers about a month to go through that amount of data. Even reports of bots in other games are all still checked by hand after being notified by the anti cheat system. There is no way you guys went through that amount of data in that short of a time period. Also not to mentioned. Why are you sporadically banning people? Bans are typically done in waves so that hackers can't pinpoint the exact activity or code that got them caught in the first place. This seems like a large security oversight and leads to being able to create tools that are much harder to detect.
