They have a history of less lies than I can count on my hand and a ton of others made up by the community that have never been proven.
So yeah 400 is likely an estimate, but more accurate than some exaggerated “thousands” number that nobody has bothered to verify whatsoever.
Apparently it’s cool to deny anything said by Bungie simply because you don’t like them, but it’s wrong to refute and question any accusations against Bungie... yeah ok
DTR also took down their tracker themselves. Anyone not believing that is a conspiracy loony.

"See that mountain over there." "Gjallarhorn won't be returning." "We do not use SBMM." "Third party software may cause complications but will not get you banned." Bullshit.
-
You can go to that mountain.... Just not that other mountain. Gjallarhorn wasn't supposed to return... Because d2 was meant to come out a year ago in place of rise of iron. To my knowledge you've got me with sbmm Just going by a recent article, they said 3rd party apps like twitch won't get you banned. Not sure if they even spoken on other 3rd party apps
-
Gjallarhorn returning was still bullshit. Ya got me on the mountain one that was just a jab. That's typical E3 hype nonsense. Still though, people ARE being wrongfully banned regardless of what this guy is saying. I'm just happy blizzard is being so helpful with their refund process.
-
Edited by GrundleBeans: 10/25/2017 9:54:50 PMWhat proof is there that ALL of them are wrongfully banned other than your opinion that they're completely innocent? Some were banned in the beta and thought they'd somehow not be banned still. How many is it? 4, 40, all 400, 40,000?
-
Edited by GrundleBeans: 10/25/2017 8:46:14 PMBecause every single person claiming they’re innocent or not using something or don’t have any malicious software on their computer couldn’t possibly be lying or wrong.
Also that’s 4 things that I can easily count on one hand
-
Edited by Roada Rolla: 10/25/2017 8:47:16 PMWhile there may be a few outliers that's like saying hundreds of -blam!- victims are all lying. Get your head out of your ass there is clearly a problem here.
-
It's not at all unlikely hundreds have attempted to cheat and got caught, and they are lying by their denial.
-
I reserve the right to be skeptical. Hundreds of “why did I get banned? I did nothing” topics were posted throughout D1 to today on this very site that have been false or misunderstandings between what a suspension and a ban is. I’m not going to conclude everyone is getting banned or telling the whole truth without research.
-
Fair enough. However, it's still just as ignorant to assume EVERYONE is lying. Theres clearly some sketchy shit going on here on Bungies part that IS an issue.
-
Edited by GrundleBeans: 10/25/2017 9:28:58 PMI never claimed everyone was lying, only that there’s no proof given that some undefined “thousands” are banned more than the stated 400 or that thousands of claims are completely innocent. Clearly some bans should be expected and some were not. Just because Bungie says one thing and someone claims another that doesn’t mean those other people are always and completely right simply because it differs. More often than not the immediate assumption here is guilt.
-
don't forget the "4% buff to auto rifles! Ooops, sorry, that was a typo. It's actually 0.04%!" lol classic. Ignore the Bungie cheerleader, he's absolutely clueless.
-
One typo doesn't make everything ever said by Bungie past, present and future lies, smartass.
-
yes because any one of us, at any time, said "everything ever said by Bungie past, present, and future are lies", dummy. You are refusing to acknowledge they do in fact lie, we brought evidence of said lies, now your rebuttal is that they don't lie every time they speak? lol nice.
-
You guys wanna cal this a lie no matter what because you're Bungie hating cheerleaders yourselves. Talk about pot calling the kettle black...
You are refusing to acknowledge they do in fact lie, we brought evidence of said lies, now your rebuttal is that they don't lie every time they speak?
You've automatically concluded Bungie is lying based on that and a few other examples people have given, so I say again, just because you come up with an example of a lie that doesn't make other things they say lies simply because you want to believe they are.
-
Edited by Inskey_: 10/25/2017 10:41:17 PMI'm a bungie hating cheerleader? Weird. I must have missed the memo when I played D1 for 700 hours and praised the game for years, as well as bought the $130 version of Destiny 2. Anyone who doesn't like the direction of the game, or wants to hold a MASSIVE developer and it's filthy rich publisher to task - is a bungie hating cheerleader. Gotcha. I was sold this franchise as "An open world MMORPG shooter" and now, after I purchased D2 mind you, they are calling it a "collector's game". Another lie, but we should ignore that right? Paying customers don't deserve to be disappointed at something they paid for and be passionate about what it should/could be. Also I never said they were lying, I simply made a comment in satire how they've been telling the absolute truth lately. How you took what I said and came up with "everything ever said by Bungie past, present, and future are lies" is beyond me, but you are welcome to your opinion.

Edited by GrundleBeans: 10/25/2017 10:51:52 PM
Anyone who doesn't ...
I'm claiming anyone now? No, just the ones posting lists of lies and "lies" in order to defend the OP and others who want to believe Bungie is lying.
is a bungie hating cheerleader. Gotcha.
If I'm a "Bungie cheerleader" just because you say so, then it's only fair I can label you too.
I was sold this franchise as "An open world MMORPG shooter" and now after I purchased D2 mind you, they are calling it a "collector's game". Another lie, but we should ignore that right
Yes, because neither are a lie, you just don't personally accept the labels.
Paying customers don't deserve to be disappointed at something they paid for and love what it could be.
You're making a completely different argument. We're not here to debate what defines value of games or what qualifies as deserving. Those are much broader topics. If you feel disappointed in this game and are going around upvoting and supporting others who are hating and criticizing, downvoting and criticizing others who are defending Bungie, then you're giving more evidence that the "Bungie hating cheerleader" label fits.
-
So now you're assuming who and what I upvote vs downvote? Lol your arguments are funny. Absurd, but funny nonetheless. We can't assume 400 is wrong, or that many of the bans are unjust, because assuming is wrong. But you can assume my rating habits on a forum. I can see now it's pointless to even respond to you lol.
-
There are a few others too.
-
Edited by Inskey_: 10/25/2017 8:45:54 PMmore than a few man. You can watch the trailer for D1 and find a dozen or more. Even the trailer for D2 has several. "A world without light" - nope. It's actually only 5 or so minutes. "A ton of loot!" - which is 50% reskins, 50% new garbage. 100% lazy. (I love that the most used gun in the game is a D1 gun. Doesn't that tell you a lot about the new "loot"? Lol) "Look at Cayde-6 and how funny he is! Don't you just love him? He is a HUGE part of this game guys!" - no he's a huge part of 3 boring missions and then you talk to him once a week. etc
-
Edited by Inskey_: 10/25/2017 8:29:52 PMWeird that bungie themselves used that exact same narrative as "true" when it looked good for them, yet it's false when it doesn't. You can believe them all you want, but I have 80+ friends on my ps4 that I met through destiny, all of which were logging a month ago, very few of which log now. If my small sample size of 80 friends shows a massive decrease of population, I'm willing to believe that on a massive scale it is also true. I'm also sure if you got a threat from the company that makes your website possible by sharing API, you wouldn't remove the tracker either. Of course this coincidentally happens on the PC release day, despite the fact this "false narrative" has been on that website for over a month with a steady decrease in numbers, and 4 years now before that, without issue. Man it's not a wonder companies get away with this shit with people like you in the world lol
-
Edited by GrundleBeans: 10/25/2017 8:54:30 PMNot to mention Tracker Network doesn’t rely on Destiny to survive or make money. If Bungie threatened them, if TN has any integrity, they’d take it down and continue with their 8+ other tracker websites. Oh and if they disable the API entirely to affect DTR if they didn’t comply with a threat, then Bungie would be disabling every other Destiny website and app out there, which Bungie is certainly not gonna do just to silence one fvcking stat shown on one fvcking site.
-
Edited by GrundleBeans: 10/25/2017 8:33:44 PMListen up. All data seen on DTR and ANYWHERE else comes directly from a public API and that data shown on DTR has ALWAYS been RAW, unedited or presented with opinions in ANY way. If Bungie thought it was ever bad for theme that some site like DTR was trying to present a bad image of Bungie, despite publicly commenting that it’s accurate and supporting them when you fools were claiming the numbers were bad throughout D1, Bungie would simply disable the data in their API for EVERYONE who you could go to to try and post more “look at the numbers” topics. Get it? If Bungie wanted them to stop, they wouldn’t have to say a single word to DTR to do it. It sounds more like people want the reason to match their own biased narrative against Bungie than any truth or facts to support it.
