I'll be playing the game just fine and out of no where it crashes. It's not my PC causing the issue.
i7-7700k
Windows 10 Pro 64bit Version 1709 (OS Build 16299.19)
16GB ram
Asus Rog Strix OG GTX 1080

4 x 3TB HDDs in a Raid 10 configuration
Battle.net launcher is installed on the raid array and Destiny 2 is installed on the SSD drive.

Still happening as of 11/13/2017

This still isn't fixed? WTH are you doing bungie?
-
I have been unable to play since release due to these crashes. I have tried every possible troubleshooting step you can.. nothing helps. I paid $100 for a game I have not been able to play for more than 15 minutes and another crash. This issue is not on Bungies list of known issues. This error and crash has been a problem for years in the console version of Destiny and they NEVER fixed it. Now, TONS of PC users have this problem and I have doubts they will ever fix it. I cannot believe that Blizzard allowed themselves to be aligned with this crap company that treats their customers with so much disrespect and write the worst code of any game company on earth.

Did anyone with this issue try and see if cleaning out the cvars file helped?

Hi, I started a thread for this yesterday, and Bungie just responded saying it has been escalated to the internal teams.. first of anything I have seen from Bungie taking note of anything. https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/236766381?sort=0&page=0

Sure wish someone at Bungie would acknowledge the fact that not just AMD owners are having issues.

Same problem here i7 6700k + GTX 1080 Win 10.. tried my SSD and HDD.. still crashes randomly BUNGIE have to adress this
-
I seem to have found a solution, or at least I played as long as I ever have without crashing. Even ended the session myself because I was tired. If you have not already, you may want to try the following troubleshooting steps: - Ensure you have updated your drivers to their most recent versions and accepted all Windows updates - Delete your existing CVARS.xml file using the guide here: https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/46407 To clear CVARS, players must: Close Destiny 2 See file directory: \Users\USER_NAME\Appdata\Roaming\Bungie\DestinyPC\prefs\ Select and delete the CVARS.xml file in this directory Relaunch Destiny 2

Still no word from Bungie on this problem???

Ok so after a lot more playing I've decided it's 1000% a memory leak. Appears to be in the graphics. I notice the game gets very jittery right before it crashes even though I don't appear to be losing any FPS. I'm locked @ 60FPS and it never dips. Come on Bungie please fix this.... I can't play with it crashing randomly on me it so annoying to have to redo all the missions several times just to complete.

Having the same problems on a similar i7 setup, scan and repair just gets stuck on "initializing". Only solution I have found is to completely reinstall the game. I was then able to play for another couple of hours before it crashed again. On my second reinstall with ZERO problems during beta or even yesterday. If it happens again I'm just going to request a refund. Its insane I have to reinstall a game multiple times a day to play it on a system far over the requirements.

I have the same exact problem. Nothing I have tried will fix it. We are screwed.

Yes, there is a memory leak with the in-game clan setup. Leave your clan, this fixed it for me. If you're not in a clan, then I'm really sorry, there's not much we can do without an explanation from bungie.
