I had fun at the beginning of the journey. Then I don't know what happened. The final nail in the coffin for me was the absence of prestige raid rewards.
This time around I had the belief that D2 would pick up where year 3 left off. Not a few steps behind vanilla. I am Jack's broken dream.
How are you guys finding the game at this point? How are you spending your time when online? Or are you taking a break till the expansion?
Edit: Trending. I would like to thank you all for your contributions. It isn't satisfying for me that this post has so many people in agreement. I respect that the developers put in long hours and massive amounts of energy to craft Destiny 2. I understand that the product at launch is a foundation that will be built on in time. However, when you review the constructive feedback and the similar ideas from a variety of Guardians. It is genuinely surprising that Bungie didn't anticipate these issues would eventuate. Sadly this culminates in a validation of the title. At this point in time "D2 is Disappointing".

There's just no point to it. I loved Destiny & turned a blind eye to the majority of its flaws. Destiny 2 as it now stands is a pathetic incompetent mess compared to the first game. No replay value, nothing worth grinding for, no point to reaching maximum light. Yes I said light, it was good enough for the last 3 years & if they wanted the new rocket launcher to be called anything but the Dubious Volley they had over a year to say something about that too! It doesn't help that as an Xbox 360 turned Xbox one player Bungie & Activision have constantly treated me like a redheaded step-child. I hear the last two years worth of Sony exclusives just made it into the Xbox inventory. Well thank you so much you condescending arrogant bunch of s#!t weasels! I allied myself with Dead Orbit in the clan rally but that was the last time I played. I didn't bother logging in the following week to collect my new gun with the loyalty discount because all the reviews said it was a piece of crap. I didn't bother with Iron Banner either, despite it being my favourite PVP activity in Destiny, because the crucible in Destiny is broken beyond repair. Making everything 4v4 was a stupid idea. Levels are utterly pointless in crucible including Iron Banner & Trials but that hardly matters when there are only 5 viable weapons anyway so unless you're using two of them you're at a massive disadvantage. Now my favourite annual live event has been cancelled when Halloween has been celebrated in Destiny every year since launch. Probably because of all the hate they got last year which was entirely justified. They cheapened a great event by making almost all the items from the previous year readily available & locking everything new behind a microtransaction paywall with RNG that was even more punishing than the Gjallarhorn drop rates meaning even people who spent upward of $300 on Treasures of the Lost couldn't get everything they wanted. Taking it off the table this year is like a child throwing a tantrum because they got caught stealing money from mommy's purse. Disappointing but not wholly unexpected. I've already got the DLC pass because I got the digital deluxe version of the game but depending on when Anthem is being released I may not even bother playing the DLC this time around because Destiny 2 is just such a let down in every possible way. It's nothing more than a half arsed cash grab by Activision & Bungie's along for the ride like a passenger on a rollercoaster that's on the verge of going all Final Destination 3. I'm sick of lining both their pockets.
