I had fun at the beginning of the journey. Then I don't know what happened. The final nail in the coffin for me was the absence of prestige raid rewards.
This time around I had the belief that D2 would pick up where year 3 left off. Not a few steps behind vanilla. I am Jack's broken dream.
How are you guys finding the game at this point? How are you spending your time when online? Or are you taking a break till the expansion?
Edit: Trending. I would like to thank you all for your contributions. It isn't satisfying for me that this post has so many people in agreement. I respect that the developers put in long hours and massive amounts of energy to craft Destiny 2. I understand that the product at launch is a foundation that will be built on in time. However, when you review the constructive feedback and the similar ideas from a variety of Guardians. It is genuinely surprising that Bungie didn't anticipate these issues would eventuate. Sadly this culminates in a validation of the title. At this point in time "D2 is Disappointing".

The initial game experience was very good for me -- I found the Destiny 2 campaign much more immersive than Destiny 1's -- public events, lost sectors, exploration, there was so much to do. After a month, I've noticed that after I complete the milestones on all 6 of my characters (I play on XBone and Playstation), there's not much to do. In Destiny 1, I could suffer through some Crucible because even though they use the same matchmaking logic, at least in D1, one could go ham and have some success ... that's not really possible in D2. Routinely, my teammates are useless, they have no idea what's going on, don't care, don't try. Routinely I face a full team of year 3 gamertags and my potatoes have no chance. I'm not saying I'm a god, I'm not saying I good but I'm routinely, monumentally more competent than my teammates. I still get blown out in about 70-80% of my games -- granted I play solo -- however this should not be a regular thing for solo players. In conclusion, from Tuesday to Wednesday or Thursday, I have fun (as long as I don't play Crucible), the rest of the time I play other games.
