Like if D2 is Disappointing ☹
I had fun at the beginning of the journey. Then I don't know what happened. The final nail in the coffin for me was the absence of prestige raid rewards.
This time around I had the belief that D2 would pick up where year 3 left off. Not a few steps behind vanilla. I am Jack's broken dream.
How are you guys finding the game at this point? How are you spending your time when online? Or are you taking a break till the expansion?
Edit: Trending. I would like to thank you all for your contributions. It isn't satisfying for me that this post has so many people in agreement. I respect that the developers put in long hours and massive amounts of energy to craft Destiny 2. I understand that the product at launch is a foundation that will be built on in time. However, when you review the constructive feedback and the similar ideas from a variety of Guardians. It is genuinely surprising that Bungie didn't anticipate these issues would eventuate. Sadly this culminates in a validation of the title. At this point in time "D2 is Disappointing".

Idk I play like one round of crucible then I dance for two more rounds not killing anyone and lately have started dance parties lol. Some time we don't ever kill each other we just stand there dancing and doing our exotic emotes ... then after a few rounds of that I just ask myself why did I even get on this shit again I should delete it to make more room for Starwars BF2 when it comes out. I know if I do I'll feel like shit for wasting 60$. So idk maybe I'll just keep it to keep dancing in crucible and getting exotic engrams for shit I already have lol. Yes that's right since I've been dancing I get an exotic engram every 5 or so matches. Send me a message if you want to join up and dance match crucible... if anything it's a good way to troll the try hards and make them lose haha . I guess that's a good reason to keep the game. Get my troll on ROFLMAO. Think of it like a protest make it hella un enjoyable so people stop playing

Soo much core features missing from D1... It sucks. Currently playing horde based game modes on H5, Gears of War 4, Titanfall 2, and others.

Especially hearing about seasons. Lol. As if changing the loot in bright engrams and giving players some useless cosmetics is enough content to be called a season. This game was dumbed down for children that like looking at a stupid auras floating above their head and being able to dance like Drake. So sad what this franchise has become. A soulless shell of greed and laziness.

Of course there's all the obvious stuff that's doing the rounds on the forums, but there is more Like the strikes where bosses disappear or go behind Shields Lazy lazy programming No reason to do raids, you can get to 305 without them The style of weapons we grinded for in D1 don't exist in D2 - so no reason to keep playing the raid to try and get them The whole D2 template is so broken and lack lustre Sad thing is, Bungie rather lose its current paid player database, than comment and lose sales on the forthcoming pc sales revenue

Very disappointing. No reason to raid (please give us raid perks & adept weapons) and no reason to do strikes (we need strike specific gear). So many reskins, I'm tired of tokens instead of actual rewards, etc etc.

I'm still doing the raid to obtain keys for the underbelly. I'm one of those gaurdians that gets duplicate exotics all day so there's still quite a few I haven't collected unfortunately. Luckily I was able to the the doom fang pauldrons and the synthocepts(sp?) in one run so I've got a couple more toys to play around with. I want to eventually complete the hard raid. With all that being said, the future isn't looking great. I haven't committed to the next DLC, mainly because I've heard it won't feature a new raid. I wish pvp had more playlists and features but it's just so damn plain right now.

It is disappointing, and many decisions boggle my mind. However I still love what’s there, and I still love bunnies work. My complaints have been echoed 1000times, and at least Bungie states they are listening. The Seasonal content reveal definitely peaks my interest, and the changes they talked about are a great first step.

All the criticism I've been reading.... now I'm kinda speechless. Crucible was fun, cooldowns should have never been changed, guns look and feel so much better and looked more detailed. My guardian I think looks better than d2. 🤔 Every thing I felt was (of course) Destiny on d1. D2 feels closed in and so pushy compared to d1. Maybe I'll play more tomorrow of both and see if I'm wrong but... a reboot Bungie? Why? And as far as "friends"... I haven't talked to a soul I played with on d1... I guess there is no time for social chitchat in d2 like in d1. I played Crotas end with others because I liked the comraderie even if it was brief at times.... but so far in d2 I haven't been in raid because I'm too wrapped up in getting my Guardians figured out. Wth I totally think d2 shouldn't have made us start over with the power and weapons. 👎👎

I was a little burnt out about a week ago, which has nothing to do with the game it has plenty of content I just grinded my ass off, and now the prestige raid has sparked my interest again. Love the new armor, purple glow is sick and the aura is something to work for weekly(disappointed there are no raid themed perks on the armor and weapons) but seriously love the game. I'm fine with the power level not increasing because now people will raid because they WANT to, not just chasing the new level cap. These are the players I want to raid with anyway, those who want to play the games finest and most challenging content for the experience, not just a number going up. They found the perfect balance to make the casual player happy and plenty of things for the hardcore player to work towards, prestige raids and nf, trials, building the perfect set of armor with mods for each play style, etc. but without leaving anyone out or feeling like they didn't get their money's worth because they can't log in obsene amounts of time like myself lol I'm rambling but just kind of bummed the game gets so much hate when it's seriously great, sure there are some issues that they need to address(duplicates are a huge problem of mine as well as a few others) but all in all it exceeded my expectations, gg bungie.

I might be the odd one out but I prefer that the guns/armor is easier to get. I hate grinding the same thing over and over just in the hope of getting something I should have got months ago. I found the PvE experience enjoyable, in fact better than D1. Far better than vanilla D1. PvP is nowhere near as fun as D1 though. Too slow TTK, inconsistant hit reg. Maps too small and confining. Def feel they took a step back .

As we all can agree. . there's just not enough stay power right now with D2. There's so much to do but so little of it that is rewarding or worth it. Sad.

You can't be disappointed if you never had good expectations for it to begin with. After D1 I had absolutely no faith in the game. Then it ended up being actually decent.

6 RepliesAm i the only one who wishes d2 was just an expansion? I mean go back to d1 and look at all that youre leaving behind. I have duplicate weapons and armor but with different rolls that i grinded for. Seriously it makes me sad to see all my hard work get left behind.

I love survival but it’s so frustrating to play the game mode against a full fireteam (which happen almost every time). I usually play very early and no one in my clan is awake then. So ty bungie, but -blam!- your friendship
