I had fun at the beginning of the journey. Then I don't know what happened. The final nail in the coffin for me was the absence of prestige raid rewards.
This time around I had the belief that D2 would pick up where year 3 left off. Not a few steps behind vanilla. I am Jack's broken dream.
How are you guys finding the game at this point? How are you spending your time when online? Or are you taking a break till the expansion?
Edit: Trending. I would like to thank you all for your contributions. It isn't satisfying for me that this post has so many people in agreement. I respect that the developers put in long hours and massive amounts of energy to craft Destiny 2. I understand that the product at launch is a foundation that will be built on in time. However, when you review the constructive feedback and the similar ideas from a variety of Guardians. It is genuinely surprising that Bungie didn't anticipate these issues would eventuate. Sadly this culminates in a validation of the title. At this point in time "D2 is Disappointing".

Seriously. Primary weapons in D2 literally kill 20 to 40% slower than D1 whilst movement is comparable in both games. Thus we have this boring team shot meta. Bring back 6v6 and buff all primaries drastically!

Edited by xxPieruchoxx: 10/23/2017 3:37:45 PMAgreed with you, i step away from D2 two weeks ago because in boring, tediuos, broken in many ways, have non real end game content....etc....etc...etc. Now i am playing Shadows of War and Warframe.

I started going through my game list and revisited games I haven't touched in a long time. Then thought, wait why am I having to do this after one month into Destiny 2.
-
True... I want to play the pc version of it so badly but I’m not gonna throw money at my screen this time like I did for the console version. I’ll wait till the pc version gets cheaper like 30 bucks. :)

I was doing pristege raid today, got all the way to calus and we were about to 1 faze cauls and on the 3rd platform it said immune so we jumped to 4th platform and it said immune and believe me when i say we did nothing wrong we also tried again. Went to two faze him and during damage faze the councilers bubbles was on all 4 platforms but without the phyionic in it then it kicked is all out of the raid 1 by 1 and we had to rejoin... this game is so bad you need to fire look Smith. Once we see u guys do this and change for the better the more we will come back and play

This game is so bad The diarrhea that Colt had three days ago (which lasted and hour and a half) was far more entertaining
-
Yeah this game sucks

I enjoy playing it with friends and still get a buzz from nailing Nightfall. I have one character on 305 and the other 2 are 304 awaiting the odd piece of armor. I switched on yesterday and realised there was nothing to do. No Trials, not got enough time for a Raid and there is no point in strikes. So I played the free Xbox game. Had some fun. Then went to bed. Roll on Friday with AC.

Edited by Rei: 10/23/2017 2:21:37 PMMy biggest issue is that they added nothing new to the game. No new game modes, no new enemy types (aside from the 3 new cabal enemies) and none of the new features that were added into the first game by the Taken King or Rise of Iron. There's nothing in the second game that wasn't already in the first.

I literally have to force myself to log in, I’ve got 1,000 of hours on D1 and with all its faults could play everyday but D2 is just blah. It’s literally not worth playing except at reset for the flashpoint and other weekly things but that’s done in about an hour then I’m left with a week of nothing to do. And yes but the raid is so so and forget the prestige has no rewards so why do it? I’m playing metal gear solid now and enjoying it.

Bump Activision is bending Bungie over and they are not even using Vaseline straight in the a..hole

Is Destiny 2 Disappointing? Yes. Is Destiny 2 the terribad game that a ton of people are screaming about? No. I got a very similar amount of play-time that I got out of TTK and RoI. 2 or so Months then I Drop out until the next content drop or event (In D1 it was IB until i had all the Loot, and in D2 it will likely be IB and Faction Rally). And that is aduquate to me. Will i get "destroyed" by the people who likely experiencing video game burnout for the first time? Likely yes. But Honestly i will be here playing other games until the next bit of content. Be that IB to get that D@!$% Fusion rifle, or Curse of Osiris.
Another reason I think why I'm not so angry is because i got the PS4 Pro bundle because i wanted a Ps4 Pro for MH-World and essentially got D2+ Season pass for 50$ - the ps4 pro.
When I start to think about the fact that today is Monday and it would be necessary to carry out flashpoints in the game, then immediately I find myself thinking - do I really need to do it? Because matchmaking in PvP mode is so slow, fighting one on one is almost not there as most of the players running stupid crowd; also PvE events already bored me so much that evoke feelings similar to seasickness. P.S.: I put here the link to the video, the beginning of which perfectly describes my feelings: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gfazm4CTRuo.

only reason for me to play now is after reset then back onto another game. They need to add in heroic strikes, and exotics that are actually worth having. Increase the fire team number and Fix crucible Then i'll play more
-
Besides playing crucible which gets boring after around 4-5 games for me, I just log on to see xur, only here for trials.

-
Honestly if they implemented real rewards for prestige raid I would do it. Glow in the dark armor with no real perk benefits or adept weapons is just lame. Not worth the time and frustration those bathers cause.

Yea this community sucks ~Courtesy of Daworst

It’s funny because some people think that the comments are whining but the simple truth is that people love this game and just want to continue to enjoy it. It is going to be very easy to see where Bungie stands regarding these issues: if they care they will fix them if D2 was just a money grab they won’t. Then it is a lesson learned regarding any future purchases of their products.
-
Yea D2 sucks in comparison to D1 but hey, I’ve still been flawless 3x a week every week on both Destinys. So I am dealing with it. Everyone has a choice, play the damn game or don’t

Love your fight club reference

Having been here since D1 Beta and thousands of hours playing D1 I have to say first off the game is garbage, and it's certainly not fun after the reaching the level cap. The fact Bungie released this half made game to begin with is the real crime. We deserved better for our money from an AAA company and from what they supposedly learnt over the last few years, Bungie had an extra year and loads of help to make this joke. Secondly Bungie obviously doesn't listen to our feedback otherwise we wouldn't be in the situation we are in right now with D2. IMO Bungie are in big trouble with the game just under 7 weeks young, with more people quitting D2 to play D1 or just leaving altogether and this is on a daily basis, and it's only going to get worse. Obviously this game was made for the casual, who themselves are now up in arms about the game. From my experience casuals don't buy your dlc's or stick around, other games get released that turn their heads and then another, and before you know it Destiny is a distant memory and forgotten about. In the beginning all I wanted for D2 to succeed, now I just want D2 to fade away into is distance and die. It's going to take probably about a year before some major changes come, that's just not on. Bungie have once again taken each and everyone of us for fools and people who defend Bungie and this game is also what's wrong with the game. Well that seems to be coming to an end, for me the majority of my friends and by the looks of things hundreds of thousands of other players. R.I.P. Bungie & D2
-
Disappointing, yes. Bad, no.
-
Believe it or not I want to buy this game. I am just yet to be convinced.
-
I am disappointed with D2 thus far. But I will wait for the DLCs to come and go before I can properly compare D1 year 1 and D2 year 1. What is really disappointing is the content lost in D2 - that could have easily been kept IN the game... Why don't we have all the game modes in crucible we had ? (6 v 6, rumble, mayhem, rift, inferno and the ability to choose what we play) All the maps, gone ? Is there a story reason why ? Why can't we have the story missions in D2 and strikes up as nodes on the map we can re-play whenever? Why don't we have a heroic story and heroic strike playlist ? with strike specific loot ? Private Matches ? This is a lot of stuff we don't have, and it would cost them NOTHING in new programing or data to do. All the programing and assets were in Rise of Iron: i.e. its up to date with the current X-Bone/ PS-4 (whatever) programing. right ? No wonder the endgame right now is so boring. With nothing but weekly raid or trials runs, weekly milestones, useless strikes and a hugely shallow loot pool. With no vendor; faction, crucible, vanguard or gunsmith weapons either ? A "prestige" raid that ups the difficulty for no reward except an emblem, shaders, and an ornament for a quest item. Destiny was supposed to be a 10 year campaign of an ever-expanding game; not cut up into smaller sequels. etc. That's what Bungie SAID at the beginning; its what they sold Destiny as in the beginning. So much for that idea. Now. Obviously compared to the entirety of D1 (3 years worth) D2 sucks. But this IS D2's vanilla we're in ATM. So take it with a grain of salt.

When u start playing Fortnit you knowe it's a bad game.
