One of the biggest complaints and underlying problems is the lack of transparency by Bungie. We have two CMs in Cozmo and Deej, but we barely get any real updates. The TWAB barely ever counts. So I have a short term and long term idea to help with community engagement.
Short Term:
Many gaming companies are already having their CMs do this...Monthly Live videos where they discuss the status of the game. They have guest speakers, take questions via twitter, and actually engage with the community. I personally play ESO too and i watch their video streams as much as possible so you could watch ESO Live as a tutorial.
Long Term:
Destiny-Con....now this is just an obvious step. You all go to Con after Con. Do one or two interviews that sometimes just cause more Salt...i would recommend when you smooth things over that a Destiny only Con be thought about. All Destiny...allllll the time! If you look at Blizzcon...this is where they announce big updates and expansions...hold panels...talk to their players...and allow playtest...competitions...etc.
I know this does not solve the game issues everyone posting is talking about but i would offer the opinion even those who are non constructive would feel better with some more transparency and engagement.
If you take the time to read and consider this post thank you.
Doubly so if Cozmo or Deej responds.
