Would just like to point out that, even in the event of an Ascendant Hive's "true" death, their soul isn't completely destroyed. This is proven when we fill a crystal shard with some of Crota's soul on our quest to kill Oryx.
This means that, not only do Hive have a throne world to retreat to after regular death, they have an afterlife even after they die their "true" death there too. I hypothesise that, as the soul still exists, they could still be resurrected somehow.
I, for one, would like to see Oryx return at some point, he was the first villain that spoke our language (I mean, beyond the faint whispers from Crota in the story mission), and he was the first Raid Boss that had a proper buildup (not only was the story about killing him, but the post-story stuff that lead all the way to the raid was cool).

After the new expansion showing the new lucent Hive, it may be possible for the Hive beings to be resurrected. Already Alak-Hul is shown to have returned, so it may stand that others like Omnigul, Crota, or even Oryx might make a return.

Nope, Oryx and Crota are dead. They were killed in their own throne worlds, unlike his sister's, who he killed in his throne world, not theirs. That is why he could resurrect them. As for Crota, we were stealing his essence.
From this day forward, Auryx, you and your sisters will each survive death — so long as you aren’t killed in your own throne.
- worm gods
If my echoes are killed, and I am killed in the material world, then I will be driven back to my throne the Dreadnaught. If my Court and my throne can be beaten, if I am confronted in my throne, if I am defeated there, then I will die. My work will end.
- Oryx Crota's soul was destroyed in the Wakening. His true self, will, and power was destroyed in Crota's End, as was his Oversoul. The same happened to Oryx in the Dreadnaught, which is his throne world and seat of power.

Think of them like Sauron in lord of the rings after the ring is destroyed; the body is dead, the spirit may still live but only as a dark malice upon the wind, unable to interact with the world.

Crota is dead as can be. They had a funeral for him. And when the Hive throw a funeral, you ain't coming back. Now Oryx... he's dead but he's not completely dead. Or he is, we aren't certain. But most of us got the Touch of Malice. Thing rifle has a piece of Oryx in it. A piece of him that will always live on. He will never be able to do anything ever again, but his soul lives on through this rifle. Just a shame the Red Legion happened.

No both are dead as the dodo we killed them both in their throne worlds and we know once a hive is killed in their throne world their dead for good
-
Crota is dead for good but oryx could come back by his sisters discovering / exploring

Don't give them reused content ideas

There is no way that they can come back. Once you defeat an Ascendant Hive into the real world and into their Ascendant Realm, they are done. Oryx knew that and he wrote it into the Books of Sorrow.

tmw Oryx could literally come back because his personality is based off curiosity and understanding and he made the Books of Sorrow just to do that
