So... this may get lost in the flood of posts, but I'll do this anyway.
I had a dream and the 2nd half was dedicated to the premise of Destiny 3 releasing right now, no trailer or anything. This may have been based off another forum post around the time about buying D3 if released now.
What's odd is that this half was extremely aware of itself. Even the people in it questioned me about it releasing mere weeks after D2. I shrugged but whatever.
Another odd thing is that this was extremely detailed...
The director was an updated version of Destiny 2's. It had the Earth, Titan, Nessus (albeit half rekt, Leviathan nowhere to be found), and Io... but it also had Mercury, Sedna, and another planet/planetoid that I never paid attention to.
The menu was very similar to the one we all use now. What changes things were the inventory screens. To the left, replacing clans, was the roster. The first menu (I think of 3) to the right was a combination of the bounty and inventory screens of D1.
The top bar was for bounties, the bottom bar was for quest items. The left patch could hold up to 90 different items (each with their own stacks). The best feature was the right side, where there were coins with a faded enemy's face. Inspecting these would give lore on them. A codex.
As for the gameplay, it surprisingly felt smooth playing on console. When I woke up I had to remind myself that this was a dream.
I landed on either Mayan ruins or a Mayan-inspired Vex planet. Lush jungles all around, though.
At first it was just Cabal. Then out of nowhere a ketch came and crashed, bringing the Devil Splicers. They no longer looked like half-Fallen, half-SIVA monstrosities, this time they were decked out in gear made exclusively from a VERY limited supply of spare parts and an infinite supply of SIVA.
No sign of the Darkness, but I only explored one planet with snippets of others.
With the introduction of the splicers I got a pic of a SIVA strike. I can't really remember the name (it was something beginning with Ptolemy or something like that). It was about diving deep into the crashed Ketch and eliminating a Splicer commander.
That's it. It was weirdly vivid. I don't expect this to be a thing, but if it does become a thing then... holy -blam!-. I have yet to come up with a full opinion on this, I am still processing. I've noticed a large increase in dreams for the past 2 weeks so... either my mind gets really -blam!-ing bored or whatever.
