Im a hunter main, I always have been since the beginning of D1. But in destiny 2 its hard to enjoy being a hunter. With the abilities a d super feeling weak or just useless compared to other abilities that warlocks and titans have. Not saying hunters are underpowered just that the don’t feel helpful from PvP being outplayed with mobility being little help and abilities and supers being out classed. With PvE titans get a shield to protect the team, Warlocks get to heal or buff the team. Hunters get to jump to the right and reload weapons maybe go invisible. Im just losing interest in playing the game with seeing the class I loved since the start falling down and being thrown to the side. (This is just my opinion but this is a issue I have with the game) https://youtu.be/9Gt6QBHgUYc

The problem writing a post about a guardian type in a forum is that it is hard to find a unbiased opinion . if somebody main a Warlock for example, they are going to disagree with your hunter post. I main titan but I agree the hunter needs work to have the same powers as the rest of the guardians. basically I believe they should create all guardians equal and equally as powerful so that the winning would be down to the skill of the player and not the shortcomings of the design flaws of that guardian class

It also doesn't help our cause when the main stat we can get high, mobility, means jack squat. Being able to strafe faster is useful for those times when.... Nope. It's never useful. All, and literally all, the hunter grenades feel useless. Enemies have to sit in them to take damage. Tether is the weakest void super in pvp. There's almost no reason to use it. You can hit someone dead on, get killed as you float back to the ground warlock-style, and then watch as the person you hit walks slowly away from your tether. Dodge, in relation to other class skills, is a joke. At best it let's me save a second off of my reload animation. Other than that, it's just a fancy strafe. No damage mitigation. No increased stats unless you're wearing the Dragon chestpiece. And most of all, NO BENEFIT TO YOUR FIRETEAM. How did this make it thru playtesting and feel balanced? It's not all bad tho. Hitting 3-4 throwing knives in a row with Knife Juggler in pvp is probably the most satisfying thing ever.

I think the dodge ability for the hunter needs to be changed. The ONE TIME re load on a dodge is so ridiculously underpowered and really only good for niche situations. It should be replaced with a single 40 hp gain similar to healing pulse that the crest of alpha lupi provides titan shields. The whole point of the dodge is to survive and reposition yourself for a fight. I believe the dodge ability should have a perk that ACTUALLY helps you survive. It's not like it'll make any hunter overpowered anyways. If you try rolling in front of someone you get shot or melee'd anyways so it's really only a survival perk. Titans and Warlocks both have incredible survival ability that actually helps the team. I don't think a single 40-50 hp gain is game breaking and might actually give the hunter dodge more versitility on how to re engage the fight after dodging.

Also bungee please buff the arcstrider super. It's way to damn slow it's ridiculous.

Hunters lmao

I think hunters are helpful, especially when using gunslinger or nightstalker, I just wish the class ability was better. The only time I really like it is when I use nightstalker and go invisible after dodging so I can revive someone

You can stun lock yellow bars with raiden flux as an arc strider. You can tether large groups as a nightstalker, use orpheus rig, go invis, make your team invis. You can use GG with nighthalk and do mad dps. Not saying you arent right. I think Hunters need something. But I feel like they contribute.

Really? The hunters have one of the best supers for pve the voidbow especially if you have the Orpheus rig. Also i believe hunter were supposed to be pvp based thats why they have higher mobility idk i play as all three characters and sometimes i wish i had the reload that hunters have on my titan or warlock. I mean what do you guys want to be the dps and also be a tank? And as for them being slow idk man has anyone actually done a comparison and if so show me the proofs.

I don't think hunters are useless. They deal the most damage. Arcstrider can stun lock bosses to death, gunslinger deals massive damage, and nightstalker is unrivaled in add clearing. Titans and warlocks help keep everyone alive but hunters are the ones who deal the damage.

They suck plain and simple

The shadow shot paired with the exotic boots ( I forget the name) makes it possible to have nearly endless super and generates more orbs than any other class.

I actually do better in pvp with my hunter. Much better than my other two classes.
