There are a lot of disgruntled players out there and I am not one of them. I believe in letting things develop and evolve (e.g. I have patience). One thing people seem to lack is patience these days, always wanting 200% of the content right now or they leave in a hissy fit. Instead of throwing your tantrum, get on the frickn forums and throw out ideas. There are tons of game designers who have the same mindset you do and would love to hear from teh gamers...I am a game design student currently and I like to toss out my feedback wherever I can to make great games even better and learn as a developer to listen to the gamers (our number 1 clients). Destiny 2 has a lot of potential and it has only been out for 2 months so I don't understand why people are saying it is already dead. Don't jump on that bandwagon.
Here are some of my DLC ideas that I think will help Bungie launch this game past Destiny 1 and get rid of the notorious "Destiny 1.5" nickname. Feel free to toss in your own ideas.
Idea #1:
Space Battles/Space Travel - The rumor of this being in Destiny 2 brought out the little kid in a lot of us as some of you probably jumped up and down and ran laps around your living room. Too bad it was just a rumor. Bungie, listen up! Bringing an interactive combat environment in space would not only add a breath of fresh air (there's no air in space?) but it would add an entirely new aspect of the game for new weapons, new types of loot, new mechanics, new UI and player interaction, new strategies and a really frickn fun way to travel to other worlds rather than watch your ship float in orbit for 5 min while the game loads. I don't know about all of you, but I would love to play the mission in the first cut scene of the game where everyone on Earth is defending the Traveler/Tower and shoot down Cabal fighters. Hell, even adding in some lore of some famous non-guardian characters that are badass fighter pilots (like Star Wars Episode VII's Poe Dameron, the badass X-wing fighter) would be f**king awesome. It would be a spin-off of a DLC like Halo 3 ODST was to the series, but just another aspect of Destiny 2. You guys have all of the tools and resources at your fingertips, start using them and going outside the box even more. Star Wars Battlefront took the space battles to a whole new level and it is AWESOME. I would love to see this in Destiny 2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CBNF6lJTEwE. I could go on and on about this and if anyone wants to get in depth about all of the details this DLC could contain, feel free to hit me up!
Idea #2:
If you have read the book "Ready Player One" by Ernest Cline, you would be able to relate on my level (I can't wait for the movie, btw!). This idea stemmed from that book and this idea involves setting up your clan or faction on your own homeworld (going even deeper, owning your own space station on a meteor, owning your own territory on a planet, etc). You could take the clan system even further by not only gaining XP, but taking all of the loot (glimmer, coins, shards, bright dust, etc) and turning it into an intergalactic currency to allow Clans to purchase territories or space stations where you can setup your home-base, customize it, have ambassadors from every race, faction and merchants. This would open up the Destiny 2 universe immensely and add a ton of new objectives/goals for players and clans to keep playing the game for years to come. It would also make it more enticing to join clans who are successful and have a lot of members (the more the merrier). Then you could go even further by having Clan wars in space, planet invasions, planet defense, space station defense (everyone to your battle stations!), etc. Feel free to hire me at this point, Bungie. This would re-define the open world environment. I understand this would be a lot of work but hey, it's possible!
Idea #3
Custom Banner/Logo creations for clans. Everyone loves that personal touch and having customization of your own emblem and banner is awesome in a game where everyone wants to look cool and flaunt their cool gear. Even having your own Clan shader would be epic. I would love for my clan to have this feature so we could set ourselves apart from other clans so if someone travels to the EDZ and see's a bunch of dudes in all gold demolishing adds, they'd be like "Oh that's the Legion of Honor...badass." Games that have had positive feedback in this aspect are the COD Black Ops and newer games where you could create your own logo and clan emblems. There are ways to mitigate the inappropriate logos you just have to be aware and limit the options you hand out, there are some creative people out there.
Idea #4
Make the game a tad bit more realistic. If I have a sniper rifle, I want to be able to one-shot a dude from a kilometer away with a headshot. I don't want to have to empty my mag in his face only to take half of his health. This kind of balance goes with all the other weapons as well. Make the weapons more balanced and also more devastating in their own aspects.
Idea #5
Executions. Halo 4 brought out that brutal aspect of sneaking up behind someone, hopping on their shoulders and shoving a knife through the top of their skull. The hunter, titan and warlock can do some devastating damage and having a specific type of execution or executions for each class would be awesome to do and add another fun aspect of the game. I have tons of execution ideas, hit me up if you want to hear them.

Edited by Pinofazer: 10/17/2017 7:27:21 AMHi Final Flash, Just another community member responding to this. What I'm going to say will sound a tad harsh, but the truth is Bungie will not comment this, because I am right. If they comment this and correct me, then I'm more then happy and I'll apologize for spreading rumors. #1 The game engine does not support this so, it will not come. What they might do is change the balance of the game eg. by tweaking stats, adding new items to include different stats or attributes which affect damage or RNG loot tables etc. They might also add new maps and maybe even a new type of monster race with new textures. Other then that don't expect anything drastic with DLC. What they've basically done is just updated the engine from D1 to a slightly newer one, which makes the game look nicer. More shine to the graphics. #2 The game engine does not support this so, it will not come. #3 This might be doable. I'm not sure of everything, but doesn't sound that complicated. #4 Doable, but it's a balance issue and a decision how they want different weapons to work in PVP and PVE.. #5 Doable, but don't expect any new animation, like cutting the opponents throat from first person view. Game engine does not support it out of box and would require alot of work. If they did it it would probably be simple melee animation and hitpoint to back. The game engine does not support any new animations without a lot of work and reworking that is something I doubt Bungie will do. All in all, D2 feels like D1 with enhanced graphics. Like for instance when they released Doom 2 with the support of 3D engine. Just being realistic here, don't mean to bring anyone down.
