upvote if you think oathbreakers curse should apply to the crucible!
When flying solo through the crucible I find it far too common to drop into a already losing match the the losers have bailed from. Why not give a 30-40 minute cooldown to these transgressers. Maybe then they will be more vested in the matches the join instead of cherry picking the easiest.

Because then most of those people wouldn’t even bother playing. I know I would just skip it altogether if I get punished for doing the only thing I can to even out shitty matchmaking or lagging assholes or AFK teammates.

Short answer, no. This has been a problem since D1. You match into a game with only 2 minutes to go where your team are being stomped. If you leave then I couldn't blame you. Also there may legit reasons such as connection or real life. A better solution would be to give better rewards to players who stick it out rather than punish those who leave.
