Tick rate still 10? Check. P2P still ensures that players with good connections are punished while those with poor connections are rewarded? Check. Still trying, desperately, to balance an inherently unbalanced game at the expense of the core audience? Check. Decling sales? Check. Dwindling install base? Check.

The game was great when it first launched. Once the skill based matchmaking started to crank up Ping's got ridiculous. Now some games play okay and some don't. Getting to be a lot more of the some don'ts

Even setting aside the glaring annoyance that their PvP design created a boring, lackluster, uninspired, and downright cringeworthy teamshoot meta, "ghost bullets" 2.0/hit registration might as well stick a fork in it. I'm not fully (or even partially) convinced it is due to latency. There have been countless times where I have unloaded a full magazine into someone only to have about half register and of those half maybe another small percentage count as headshots when I know for a fact based on recording that much more were headshots. Not to mention when you start an engagement with someone before they see you, then you melee them, they melee you, you go to melee again, but the second melee doesn't register and they proceed to melt you with an SMG or sidearm. It's unacceptable for such a big company with so much cash flow backing it to make something as flawed as their PvP is while expecting their consumers to drop 60+ bucks plus the assumption of buying future DLCs. I love Destiny. I love Crucible. Only console game I've ever felt "addicted" to and it is terribly sad that I might have to end my relationship with Destiny 2 weeks into buying D2 because these glaring issues that they have had over 3 years to resolve are still prevalent and show no sign of being changed. As consumers, we don't have to settle. Prove to us that your product is worth our money and our time and listen to the majority of the community.

I actually watched some bullets travels through a corner and get me. It was clear we had no line of sight on one another but I was shot all the same

Wait until i can upload PS4 video's again. For some reason my PS4 won't upload video's. I have at least 50 video's of how bad hit registration is in Destiny 2. Also many rocket hits video's with no damage and where the enemy's (same) weapons do at least double damage. Destiny 2 PvP is fake fraud garbage. And i have a very good internet.

Definitely still an annoying thing. I feel like the latency is real too. I have so many deaths where my ghost is not even close to being in sight of the enemy whether it be behind a wall or around a corner a long way

Yeah there is a huge delay in hitbox registry, I'll be behind a wall away from enemy fire and still get killed. And before you say it, no it's not lag. There's a big difference

Holy shit you should have seen what i encountered today, as soon as i can get video up i will. Played about 8 games earlier was working fine, hanging 15.0, 11.0, 9.0, 3.0's along with a couple avg games on folks. Leave, come back after couple hrs and get several games in a row of impossible to kill mother -blam!-ers. 22..... Count em 22 -blam!-ing scout shots to put a guy down, half a clip of sidearm plus 4 melee on another, immunity to grenades on yet another!!! A GODDAM JOKE. I recorded 2 games, one you can see the bullshit turn on like switch mid game.

I don't play PvP because I hate that there are no dedicated servers for this. I still can't believe that it's 2017 and we are using P2P connections for a FPS AAA title game. Dedicated servers have issues too, but it's not nearly as maddening. I guess Bungie saves more money this way?

Gotta say its been worse than D1 as far as hit registration for me. Maybe they lowered the player count to 4 per team to help this because they know the code isn't good. I've had better gaming experiences on 56k, and I'm not joking about that. Their match making needs to be connection based in quick play at least, but that won't solve the underlying issue which is the net code. The framerate issues on Xbox 1 also compound the issue. The game is poorly optimised, and that causes rounding issues with fire rate and damage as well.

True this. The only difference is they removed the bars so it's not quite as infuriating. However having played D1 for thousands of hours, I can tell it's exactly the same. It coincides with player loss, 50% have quit. But also it feels like the cache at bungo HQ builds up n causes lag. It's the exact same engine, exact same netcode, exact same worldwide mm, exact same playing teams of 4, iexact same 10 tick rare, it's absolutely terrible. Why do I die to what feels like 1 bullet? Why do I die instantly to a guy using the same gun as me, but I can't even get his Shields down? Why does my orb appear 5yds behind a wall? Why I randomly die to nothing, even in pve? Why do I constantly play full teams of 4 from Myanmar? Why do I spawn into enemies nonstop?

Tbh i've had no issues with lag for now, except for a single ib match where aguy teleported like a headless minotaur on steroids. Still did not kill anyone through walls, just had to unload half your reserves on him to kill him.

Fix your internet. Hit Registration is fine. People that keep complaining about lag etc need to fix their internet. Get better internet or something. Of course you will get a game here or there that is a little laggy but it's not constant. That's made up by a lot of people who tend to lose a lot or are having a bad day in crucible. Check your Nat Type. If it's 3 then there's your problem. If you are not hard wired then try that. I see so many complaints about bs stuff. Like IB not giving all the gear away. Do people even realize that in D1 it took over a month or two to get all the gear etc. In D1 IB you got one armor piece and two weapons I think. Per each IB. I know I went off topic but it's stuff like that,that irritates me.

I thought lag was going to be done for in D2... well, guess again! I would definitely say that there's less lag imo, but there's still lag. Considering that there's a lot of team shooting in D2, the lag feels worse lol
