Sadly this trend of cutting stuff out and then selling it as a DLC is an industry trend. To make matters worse many are now including loot chests. Shadows of War and Battlefront 2 are prime examples of this. It's getting to the point where I'm going to start passing on new releases and let some other sucker buy the game and then buy it on ebay when they decide to dump the game. At least that way if I do decide to buy a loot chest or two I'll still be way under the release price.
