Yea true. But the game is "balanced" now, which is what everyone whined constantly about in D1. So for everyone who cried "nerf" in D1, are you happy now? Enjoying your balance?

  • They only needed to balance the weapons for PVP. PVE should have been expanded on where you can build your own rolls like in Warframe. That would be a game going forward instead of backwards, like the one Bungie have created.

  • No one really can explain how a "4vs4" or random crucible match type plays anything into a "balanced game". 4players for a team on Crucible increase chances of inbalance (easier to get a clan of 4 ppl than 6), random play reinforces that full fireteams have a better success rate in fireteam kills. Likewise I don't see how the "set perks" were ever complained about as it was always about some perks available to some Legendaries. People could complain about shotguns and their perks but you're kind of in the same place with all the hard cores relying on Antiope D with it's range and time to kill giving it an edge over tons of weapons. At least in Destiny 1 you had counters to Feltwinter and more variety in exotic weapon usage but not we're all back using to several weapons only. No concrete numbers but I'm sure tons of ppl using just MIDA, Antiope, Uriels, Origin, Minimum Distance. That's worse than D1 with ppl relying on Thorn, MIDA, TLR, Hawkmoon, Lord of Wolves, Shadow Price, Suros Regime..oh wait this list is already longer =| See what I mean? D2 wasn't made with an ideal of "balancing" or taking those issues into account but rather it seems like it fit in with their whole thing of wanting primary weapons being a bigger factor in the game while getting rid of shotguns and snipers as much as possible.

  • I slightly agree with your statement on that, however there's more to it just simply being whining. They cried out for nerf because of the crucible being this huge "end game" portion of the game. I understand for certain activities, but I never considered nor liked crucible as an end game content for destiny 1. What I felt should've happened, and still feel this way with destiny 2, is they need to separate stats in crucible and pve contents respectively. A gun was destroyed in pve because it was too good in crucible. I.e. Suros or well all auto rifles for example. They were amazing in pve for right reason but too powerful because of a specific archetype and perk to an auto rifle. Point I'm trying to say is yes, destiny 2 is the way it is because of nerf whiners, but you can't blame just them you look to the developers who can't for absolutely no reason separate stats from each respective game mode. Ps I will add on in my honest opinion I still feel like crucible was what ruined destiny 1 all the way but that's my formulated opinion grand scheme it's the developers.
