Have not gotten shadow of war yet, but i had a similar experience in shadow of mordor some lucky uruk got the final hit then proceeded to kill him 7 times ends up becoming a war chief. He then dies when i shoot him with 7 arrows and shadow strike him off a building...
-
I just beat the game and I must say it is more enjoyable then the first
-
I must've "killed" one captain like 6 times, at first he was a normie, then came back with his face all messed up and I took one of his arms off, he came back with robot arm and I mutilate his face, he comes back with a sack over his head so I take his leg, repeat until he losses all his limbs and I finally cut off his head then his blood brother shows up

i got the same kind of nemesis. bubol meat hooks from shadow of mordor came into this game and i killed him again here. he then came back as bubol the machine and we had a badass final battle at night on the roof of a minas ithil building when i cleaved him in half again. 3 kills and 2 games for him to go away

Body disappears off map >I miss The Machine

Edited by Keanu Weeves: 10/11/2017 11:59:33 PMHad a monstrous no weakness legendary war troll kill me 3 or 4 times before I finally conquered him. Made him my bodyguard for when shit hit the fan. Shit hit the fan, I summoned him. He betrayed me. I had a bad time.
love the game though
My first nemesis in this game was mortally weak to fire, so I blew up a barrel right next to him and he died. Two hours later he shows up again and I do the same thing. I leave the region and come back a couple days later and he's practically all metal. I brand him and make him my bodyguard. His name is something the Friendly, so every time he showed up he would say something about being friends instead of fighting. We become best friends. I'm fighting another captain and summon him to help. He gets blown to hell. I cry for hours.

How does saving work in the game?

My first interesting encounter had to do with a random orc named Skoth. He had recently killed me and I was not about to let him get away with it. I show up to his feast and start planning my revenge. I notice barrels of grog so I poison them and wait for the orcs to drink. Turns out Skoth could be killed instantly with poison so he died via the grog. I was kinda upset considering this was my first encounter with a nemesis and I really wanted to kill him in a very cool way. Little did I know at that point that captains could cheat death and come back to exact their revenge. So I was in the middle of another captain battle when out of nowhere Skoth returns with a mangled, green face. I sat in utter excitement when I realized I could kill my first nemesis the right way now. We start duking it out and long story short I end up cutting off both his arms and slicing him into two. Skoth the Cleaver got "cleaved."

The ending is in a lootcrate. Good luck bro

Game itself is amazing just beware everyone the end game is either super grind or buy loot crates im on endgame fortress 4/10 and about 12 hours into having to grind to get orcs. Shame because the rest of the game is amazing feels like a true next gen action rpg. Also not sure about console versions but pc theres only one save so you cant play story again unless you delete your character

Lol that game is insane

My nemesis from Shadow of Mordor shows up during my first fort Siege. Saves me during a last stand then kills other captains and tells me he'll return in a more "fair fight." Ambushes me in snow region. Defeat the orc and he enters into his last words; "We've had quite the war Tark, and you've bested me. Take my blade and set them aflame." Kills orc. Drops legendary War-Monger dagger that is lvl 20 and 476 damage. Has a perk that sets enemies on fire. This game is amazing
-
Love it so far. Better than the first
-
There’s an orc captain that came back as a machine for me too. -Ambushed by him 4 times -Shamed him 3 times -Killed him 2 times -Killed by him 1 time -Recruited him 1 time -He betrayed me and killed my bodyguard and is now roaming through Nûrn making my life a paranoid hell.

Edited by Bob: 10/11/2017 8:26:32 PMBe me Play on the "hard" mode with the "better" AI modes Standing in plain sight across a platform from enemy guy on first mission guy doesn't see me. ok tbh though I am sad cause Shadow of War is basically the exact same as Shadow of Mordor. I knew they should be similar. but really almost everything is the same
-
I got betrayed by a Warchief I capture because he had virtually zero weaknesses. I didn't kill him; My nemesis shows up and saves me during one of those "last chance" type of executions when you die and he proceeded to butcher the warchief. Shadow of War is pretty decent
-
My nemesis was Pigug Runny Bowels. He wasn't really dangerous until he had a posse and nearly one shot me with arrows. I'm still ashamed of having such a silly rival...
-
Are you enjoying it? I have been on the fence of buying it or not.
-
Git gud
-
My Shadow of Mordor playthrough was like that. This one orc kept killing me and each time he got more powerful. Eventually, he was almost unbeatable. Then I formed an orc army and my captains slayed him for me. The system works.

Dûsh the Tricky I killed home seven times now!
