Some people may be asking why the prestige raid is finally being released today, and then others may be asking why the heck we got another map with Iron Banner today and not when the game was first initially released. Well for anyone asking these questions, it helps the keep the gaming experience fresh and alive. I lived through the content drought between the Taken King and Rise of Iron. They gave us the April update which was nice and was “free”. Using the micro transactions within the game to help feed the designers to create new and enjoyable content. I remember playing CoD MW3 and they actually did something right by selling something called the season pass. Keep in mind this was well before some billionaire thought of Micro-transactions. For $40 you bought all the maps they would release to the public in “Map-packs” later on and they would release a new map every 20 or so days. This is what kept the game alive for me and made me hit prestige 14. It kept the game alive and feeling enjoyable while still achieving the common goal of receiving payment for the content. I “personally” enjoyed that idea and wouldn’t mind them bringing something out for “free” (said micro-transactions) content every month rather than waiting for a whole 6 months for something to be called the “April Update. And don’t get me wrong I enjoyed it but it was too much all at once and I feel like it didn’t give us much more to play. Give us a new strike once every month or so, drop a new map every month as well. I don’t even care if it’s stuff that you had planned to drop in bulk all at once. Just hold onto a map or two and give us something fresh to play. Swap the items in the vendors every now and then. Design a new weapon or armor set and give it out via grind. You don’t necessarily have to retire old gear either. Allow us to purchase it for legendary shards instead! We only have over a thousand of it already. Let us buy the old guns and armors and have us grind for the new ones. Once again. Just a thought. Probably a lot of people may not like my idea but at least it will keep the game going til the next DLC...
