So, here's an idea for something that could be cool (or completely terrible). In a similar fashion to how you can swap elemental mods on an energy weapon, why not be able to put a kinetic mod on an energy weapon, transforming it into a primary weapon (and vice-versa).
There are several energy weapons that I love to use, but I feel would be great to have as a kinetic weapon (some examples being, the Number/ Uriels gift, Annual Skate).
I know this is a pipe dream idea, mainly due to damage balancing, but I thought I'd throw it out there.

When they first mentioned mods, that's the direction I thought they were going. Was very disappointed to find out after release that it was not the case.
