That's not their strategy, so don't even pretend as if it were. They want to abandon everything and look for a home in another system when the system isn't totally lost just yet.
Like I said, they also didn't do anything during or much after the attack, which would be my main issue with them.
In-game wise, they just didn't bring the kind of gear I was expecting tbh.
