Because i would.
I would in two seconds, without any degree of hesitation.
We lost weapons/blessings of light.
We lost our cooldown speed, the old defender had the quickest super cooldown speed in the game at just over 3 min if you set it up right.
We lost saint-14. not an every day exotic but it had it's places.
Bubble is now almost useless in every way other than OMG i'm about to die.
But all the forum salt miners are going to say well defender is op now cuz they have the captain america shield.
Well I say keep the shield, it is a horrible roaming super, and the shield throw sucks. If you miss the melee swing you spring backwards to where you were before you started the strike. If you want a roaming super run hammers or the new striker class.
WHO'S WITH ME!!
ps, bring back saint-14 and ruinwings

Edited by Vortx4: 9/29/2017 4:08:25 AMHonestly, lets consider this. 1: The bubble tree makes you lose some useful offensive capabilities, like shield bash 2: Defender bubble takes your entire super. So it stands to reason that the new defender bubble would be at least as good as D1 to make up for this right? Wrong. 3: Ward of Dawn now lasts for shorter than D1, it feels like. Definitely not as long as bastion. 4: The bubble has trashy perks on it, e.g. Armor of light only. Imo, they should keep it as is, but: increase the ward's duration to bastion level or longer, and give the bubble armor of light INSIDE the bubble but blessing without. Essentially, a stronger overshield inside but a weaker one stayes with you when you go outside of it. I mean, come on. It's a super. At least give it more use than a temporary regeneration area that lasts for less than 30 seconds! Make it actually super. It should give an impenetrable safe zone with armor (which it already does) but also give a combat advantage with blessing. Sorry, rant over. It just annoys me.
