So Pradyth, Pahanin, and Kabr the Legionless decended into the Vex underworld of glass and darkness.
Pradyth was lost to the tides of time, the Legionless drank of the Oracles was in turn swallowed up by the collective, and Pahanin escaped the vault scarred beyond measure.
Their fates were nightmares made real, but with the Vex minds within the Vault able to rewrite reality as they see fit and scrub Guardians from the timeline, how many more fireteams descended into the Vex stronghold and ceased to be?
Was Kabr's team the only one? Or just the only one that managed to see any of its members escape back into our reality?

I always took it to be a large number of dead fireteams, because isn't Time's Vengeance supposed to represent the combined firepower of you + all of those failed teams?
-
I guess it's a small consolation for those fireteams who wiped in VoG, and woke up in orbit with a sore ass and no memory of the past few hours. Vex always seem the creepiest when they kill you... standing over your body and using their x Ray beams to do who knows what. In seriousness, curious about why they uploaded the captain's consciousness in that Nessus sidequest. Was it a reward, a punishment, or merely ambivalent curiosity?

There a misconception here. Their erasure doesn’t affect things outside of the Vault of Glass. Every Guardian who was “erased” inside the Vault are still “known” outside of the Vault. The reason Kabyrs fireteam forgot them is because they were in the Vault when the erasure happened, so it affected their memories. Everyone outside of the Vault would remember who the others were. The issue becomes: when the people who knew them die, no one is left to know they were ever around in the first place. Phanin was killed by Dredgen Yor. That is a long time ago. Since then there have been several major battles and a good numbers of Guardians have died.

They saw how they would be nerfed in D2, and they killed themselves. Sad really.

There were probably more, but since vex erasure means that everyone that went in was forgotten, the vanguard must've sent in wave after wave sending them to their doom. Pahanin probably broke that cycle. If you stand in any major vex areas, you can see ghosts popping in and out of time, most likely from those doomed firetreams.

It would stand to reason that there were many more teams, but the vex erased them from ever existing inside the vault.
